Gotham Chorus is 7th in the world 🌎

We had the incredible privilege of competing in one of the closest and most exciting chorus contests in BHS International history, and we couldn't be more proud of the performance we shared on that stage.

We’ve got to give a second round of thank yous to our coaches, Steve Scott, Melody Hine, and Patrick Brown, our arrangers, Patrick McAlexander (Total Eclipse of the Heart) and Adam Bock (One of These Nights/Can’t Fight the Moonlight), and Nicky and Andrew for creating the tracks that helped us bring that music to life.

And to everyone who watched, shared, commented, cheered, and connected with our story: thank you for allowing this performance to travel far beyond the contest floor. We are so grateful.

What an incredible week. We still can't quite believe it. ❤️🎶 by @gothamchorus

We have so many thank yous to write but today, we're holding a little extra gratitude for Bonnie Tyler.

Her music has left an indelible mark on generations of listeners and performers, and Total Eclipse of the Heart is one of those rare songs that has become part of so many people's lives. We're especially thankful for the opportunity to tell our own story through it.

We are endlessly grateful to Patrick McAlexander for creating an extraordinary arrangement that gave us the space to tell that story, and to our incredible artistic and performance teams for the chance to dig into this sound and these authentic moments, and our director, Anna Lynk, whose vision, trust, and creativity brought it all to life.

This performance will always hold a special place in our hearts. We're honored to have shared it on the Barbershop Harmony Society International stage, and we're deeply thankful to everyone who embraced its message in St. Louis and beyond.

Thank you, Bonnie, for the music that inspired this journey.

What an incredible weekend for our Long Island Sound Chorus family!

🎉Congratulations to our Co-Director, Meredith, on winning the inaugural Sing-In Contest with her quartet, Tall Girls Club, and qualifying for the International Quarter Finals! We were thrilled to cheer her on 🥳

🎉We’re also celebrating two of our own—Nate and Charles—who competed with Gotham Chorus and helped earn an amazing 7th-place finish!

The Long Island Sound Chorus is proud!💈🎶

The only thing more painful than becoming yourself is refusing to.

But what do you call the feeling of becoming something you can’t quite name?

To everyone who is still becoming—we see you.💜
—

We had the incredible joy and privilege of sharing our International contest set in St. Louis after months of hard work, growth, and preparation.

This set meant so much to us—not only because of the beautiful arrangements by Patrick McAlexander and Adam Bock, but because of the story it tells: one of self-discovery, found family, belonging, and acceptance.

We’re already so grateful for the heartfelt reactions we’ve received from the audience. Thank you for embracing this message and taking the journey with us.

Now it’s time to sit back, enjoy some incredible chorus and quartet performances, and cheer on our friends in @smokeringquartet as they take the stage tonight as the mic testers! 💜🎶 by @gothamchorus

We'd like to thank Patrick Brown, our performance coach. 💜💈

Patrick coached us during our three-day retreat and has continued to provide thoughtful feedback throughout our journey. His insights and guidance have helped us dive deeper into the story we're telling, making our International set more meaningful, authentic, and impactful.
We especially appreciate your encouragement and belief in us every step of the way.
Thank you, Patrick! We couldn't have done it without you. 💜🎶 by @gothamchorus
