If you’ve never heard the term “dry hire” before, it basically means you provide the alcohol and your mobile bar handles everything else.

You purchase the alcohol for your event, and we help you figure out what you actually need based on your guest count and menu.

Then we bring the bartenders, bar setup, cups, napkins, straws, coolers, garnishes, bar supplies, and handle setup and breakdown.

So no, dry hire doesn’t mean you’re setting up a DIY bar and hoping everything works out.

You bring the alcohol.

Your bar doesn’t have to be complicated.

I think there’s a tendency to think that a wedding bar needs a huge cocktail menu, tons of ingredients, and a million options to feel special.

It really doesn’t.

A few thoughtfully chosen cocktails can be more than enough when the menu, ingredients, prep, setup, and service are all planned out ahead of time.

Because the goal isn’t just to make a pretty drink.

It’s to have a bar that looks good, runs smoothly, and keeps your guests from spending half of cocktail hour standing in line.

Come bartend cocktail hour with us at Waterfall Lodge 🌲🍹

Cocktail hour is one of my favorite parts of a wedding because this is when the bar really starts moving! With guests arriving, grabbing drinks, and heading into the reception, having a well-prepped bar and bartending team makes a HUGE difference. Huge thanks to @michelle.philipp

For this wedding, we were serving:

Spicy Margarita
Pineapple Vodka Spritz
Blackberry Bourbon Smash
Watermelon Basil Lemonade — mocktail
Passionfruit Fizz — mocktail

And yes, mocktails are always worth having! Not every guest drinks alcohol, and having something fun and intentional for them makes the bar experience feel inclusive rather than like they’re just getting a soda.

We got to spend cocktail hour under the towering trees at Waterfall Lodge, surrounded by all that beautiful California scenery.

This is the behind-the-scenes part of wedding bartending you don’t always see — prepping, pouring, garnishing, keeping the bar moving, and making sure guests aren’t standing around waiting for their drinks.
