Five years of Got Music. What started as a space for forward-thinking sound and open-hearted energy has grown into a community built around connection and discovery.

On Friday 17 April, we celebrate with @julienmier, bringing his intricate live sound fresh from supporting Rival Consoles, alongside @dro.carey, known for his genre-fluid club sets and releases on labels like Braincamp Rec., The Trilogy Tapes and Greco-Roman.

5 years ago we decided to create a space for friends to connect and enjoy a wide array of interesting music. Over the years we evolved - venues changed, new members jumped on board, collaborative relationships were forged. In a rapidly changing landscape, Got Music have stayed true to the ethos of presenting music for music lovers with no expectations other than a great time with good sounds.

Join us Friday April 17 at @chippolord for a celebration of Got Music and everybody who has supported us over the years. @julienmier and @dro.carey are joining us for the night. We’d love to see you there. by @gotmusiccrew

It’s exactly 4 years ago today that Got Music had its first ever event at the Cauliflower Hotel. Known as Got Music Social Club, Jay, Sinclair and Magda started the crew and not long after brought Lyndon on board.

Since that time, we’ve expanded the crew with Sophie, Drox and Jamie bringing their amazing talents to the fold.

On this day celebrating 4 years of parties, we wanted to take the time to thank all the amazing DJs who we’ve hosted and the friends assisting with visuals, sound, decoration and behind the scenes, as well as the venues we’ve called home throughout this time.

And of course, we also want to thank everybody who has ever attended one of our parties and made it a really special space for us to express and share our collective love of music.

Here’s to the next 4 years!

Less than 2 weeks to go until @gotmusiccrew once again take over the @chippolord for another night of the most diverse sounds in town. With 2 unique spaces - The Green Room, which is dedicated to downbeat/ambient/chill and The HotBox, which will be providing dancing beats for your feet all night long. We’re going all out for this one and we can’t wait to hear what our guests @suzu__who and @confusedmachine bring to the decks. We hope to see you there! by @gotmusiccrew

Music return with Evergreen Daze on April 26 at @chippolord. We have another fantastic lineup with guests @confusedmachine and @suzu__who

We are excited to announce the return of a dedicated chill out space we are calling the Green Room, which will take over the Gladdy courtyard.

Since the early days of parties, the Chill Out was a vital experience all of its own. A special zone dedicated to the kind of music that gave you a break and allowed you to relax and breathe, all while bathing in the warmth of its soundtrack.

All of our DJs for this event will play a set in The Green Room, as well as an uptempo set inside the main room which we have christened The Hot Box. We’ve secured some extra beef for the Hot Box in the form of a Funktion One rig guaranteed to lift the room to a heaving mass of happy dancers. by @gotmusiccrew

Announcement! Joining us as a special guest for Evergreen Daze on April 26 is none other than Suzu.

A decade ago this year, Ellie May Locke sprung herself upon the Sydney scene as ‘Lazy Susan’ and quickly established a name for herself as a boundary shifting DJ with a keen ear and great mixing skills.

Following a stint living in Japan and travelling/DJing to places as far flung as BC, Canada then along Australia’s East Coast, Ellie has returned to Eora as Suzu.

As an artist who adheres to the underground ethos of never painting herself into a corner, Suzu will be bringing some of her unpredictable musical magic to Evergreen Daze, 26 March at The Lord Gladstone in Chippendale. Official event page launching soon.

We are excited to announce the first of our guests for our upcoming Evergreen Daze party. Matt Costain is that face at every Sydney event you’ve ever been to, his support of the scene is unparalleled and his Strange Signals techno parties the stuff of legend.

This will be Matt’s 3rd appearance as a Got Music guest over the past 4 years. More than most, Matt understands the GM ethos and brief - play the music you never get to play anywhere else, the music that moves you, that people might not associate you with. It’s easy to fall back on the familiar and comfortable, but Matt always amazes us with the selections he digs deep for to bring to our events.

Evergreen Daze is happening on 26 April at The Lord Gladstone in Chippendale. Stay tuned for official event listing and more announcements!
