What Our GOTR Girls are Learning: MOVE With Your Emotions
When big emotions start bubbling, start moving!👟

Our teams are learning what type of movement would feel best depending on how you feel.

🧘🏽‍♀️Need to release tension? Stretch it out!
🧑🏽‍🩰Neet to let loose excess energy? Dance!
✋🏽Big Emotion Bubbling? Use 5-Finger Breathing!

Our GOTR girls are learning that movement is a natural and effective regulation activity. Thanks Team Arlon Seay for showing us the way to move this week! by @gotrsctx

In a world where girls are often told or believe they’re not enough, Girls on the Run is building confidence that lasts. 9 in 10 girls interviewed in our Alums Study said GOTR positively influenced how they see themselves. That self-confidence carries them forward as they navigate middle school, shaping how they show up at school, in social situations, and in their friendships. October 11 is celebrated internationally as Day of the Girl with the mission “to help galvanize worldwide enthusiasm for goals to better girls’ lives, providing an opportunity for them to show leadership and reach their full potential.” It’s a day to come together under the same goal to highlight, discuss, and take action to advance rights and opportunities for girls everywhere.

Girl serving organizations join together on this day to celebrate locally, and for our fifth anniversary, we're spotlighting all the ways girls are special.
