I’m spending the morning at the flat, which for those that don’t know, we have an AirB&B over the tea room. It hasn’t been online for the past year for a few reasons and one of those was that we also gave it a bit of an update with paint etc. Well today, Simon is working on our garden and doing lots of clearing, which doesn’t require assistance from the bears 🐶🐶. So I’ve bought some work with me and thought I could get some done here. Anyways that’s not really working as the bears want to play all the time 😂. Anyway, a good time to share some of the makeover with you

Late afternoons I’ve been coming up to this little corner and catching up with my book. It’s usually the time the bears 🐶🐶 are sleepy, so I don’t get interrupted much. I’m yet to start our book club choice which is Witch Trial by Harriet Tyce, but I’ve got a month to get to it.

So Betty Blue was switched back on yesterday after her service and that means a move around of things in the kitchen. Obviously plants have had to be moved so they don’t get burnt or singed.

I tend to keep my small appliances to hand, otherwise I forget to use them, so they are on shelves or on the countertop. What about you, what’s your preference; on display or in a cupboard?

Yes we have dog beds everywhere, throws that are comfortable just for them and yes they do sleep on our bed, because they are our world ❤️❤️. My fear is they’re getting older and will be 12 this year and I can see they’re slowing down. So I will enjoy every single moment I can 🩷

A month or so ago a lovely message popped up from @flyingflowers.uk and asked if I would like some blooms! I mean what girl says no 😂, but I know how hard running a business is and I offered to pay, to which Lauren, said absolutely not, but if I wanted to do something, just pay forward with kindness. She didn’t even ask me to put them on insta, or do stories, nothing, just a very kind person wanting to make someone smile. How lovely is that.

Anyhow this morning just look at the wonderful surprise I got. Aren’t they absolutely beautiful. Thank you Lauren and team, I will definitely pass on the kindness that you showed me and do something for someone else. In the mean time these beauty’s are really bringing a smile to my face. Thank you so very much xx

Today on world animal day, I feel incredibly blessed that our church held an animal blessing service in our local park. Each animal there had a blessing, even the soft toy ones and those that bought ashes along. I feel so so lucky to live in a community that cares so much. Thank you to @holytrinityqueenborough church for the most amazing service. The bears behaved themselves too 😂, well Molly took it in her stride and laid down and even Bertie who can be reactive just chilled out.

I used to struggle to find the time to read but since getting my kindle, I’m obsessed. I can read while Simon is trying to sleep without disturbing him. Don’t get me wrong I still don’t fly through them like some people and I still love a paperback, but I certainly read every day.

I’ve just finished our book club choice, A Curious Ending by Sally Page. Well I absolutely loved it, and gave it 5 stars, I’d have given it more if I could. Wonderful story of friendship, but with a twist of a mystery (and a ghost).

Now to start on book 25 of this year. Last year I don’t think I even managed 12 books

A trip out to a garden centre this afternoon also meant calling into one of our favourite charity shops. I did donate a bag but somehow also came out with things 😂, well it would have been rude not too. I’m so pleased with this little foot stool, it does need a bit of work but I’m more than happy to have a go at fixing it up but I do love the tapestry cover.

Happy Autumn Equinox. Pretty much everywhere you look in our home, I’ve added some autumn decor 😂, and I probably love decorating as much for autumn as I do for Christmas. I’ve certainly put conkers that I’ve picked up on our walks in each room, but that may be, because I feel I’ve hundreds of them 🧡

You’d not say though that October is next week, it’s been so beautifully warm and sunny here today. I hope you’re enjoying your day xx

I’m not sure how the idea came to me but yesterday I asked Alexa what would be the date in a 100 days time? She said 30th December (that’s scary). So an idea came to me to create small moments of creativity each day. Now nothing big, but to learn something new, to play and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Most of all, to find my creative self again. Just be me. So here goes.

I’ve found a notebook in my stash, covered it with scrapbooking paper and taken photos of myself with Bertie and Molly (Bertie is the kisser 😂). Some days I’ll just add stickers in it, some days I’ll write, but I’ll use it to record my progress. I’m just going with the flow and not setting myself up to fail. Just to have fun.

I’m also applying this challenge to me, to our home. I have paint and wallpaper plans at the ready and I’m just going to go for it!

Since we bought this little house I used a hashtag called #littlehousehappiness, So a bit of a spin on that and welcome to my 100 days of handmade happiness.
