Well this happened. Proud to work with such a talented, hard-working group. Playing a small role on a tv show that I’ve watched as a fan for years is a dream realized. Receiving an award for it is unreal. #MLBTonight #Emmy #ThatsInExports by @gowithgilberto

Getting a @badbunnypr song cleared = difficult
Blacking out to it on Premiere = easy

This is the type of project that I’m meant to do and makes me who I am. Proud of this one. Happy Opening Day family. by @gowithgilberto

The Dominican Winter League is full of characters. One of my favorites from directing “The Hottest Winter” was former Cubs first baseman - and college friend of mine - @frank_schwindel ⚾️

Frank has a unique connection to the DR. His wife is Dominican, he speaks (some) Spanish, and he fit in with his teammates as if he were born on the island.

His story was one of redemption. Just one season after crushing it with the Chicago Cubs, a back injury sent Frank back to the Dominican Winter League, where he looked to prove to MLB scouts that he still had some juice left in his bat.

Having all-access with Frank led to some hilarious moments with his father-in-law (also named Frank) and his teammates in the Águilas clubhouse.

Directing, producing, shooting and editing Frank’s story was a full-circle moment - from college friend to documentary subject - and one of the most memorable projects of my filmmaking career.

Special shoutout to my producer partners @beemorgs and @cpena23 🎬

There’s no country like the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 and there’s no place on Earth that loves baseball more ⚾️.

“The Hottest Winter” documentary followed Mets prospect Ronny Mauricio, then 21, as he made an MVP run with @tigresdellicey.

We had incredible access to Ronny, from the clubhouse to the home he shared with his mom, son and grandmother. This clip captures just a small piece of the personality we wanted audiences to fall in love with.

I directed, produced, shot and edited the film - an experience that left me wanting to tell a lot more stories like this.

Special shoutout to a couple of my producer partners @beemorgs @cpena23 🎬

We produced 30+ features on @nwsl athletes during the Victory+ era, but this one with @trinity_rodman stands out.

Not just because of her stardom - it’s the unforgiving honesty and swagger she carries herself with. That’s what I wanted to bring out when I directed her interview.

Biggest swing (and furthest hit ball) of my softball career 🥎

Tied up, 7-7, in an elimination playoff game, this homer put us up, 9-7, in the top 7th. I blacked out rounding 2nd base.

Go Machine. Semifinals up next.

Shoutout to my pops and my teammate Damon for capturing this.

What a time to be alive. The Johnnies are back-to-back Big East Tournament champions 🏆🏆

And I still have the opportunity to create videos for this program that means so much to me and this city. Always incredible seeing my work up on @thegarden video board and seeing the impact with the fans on social.

Thanks to everyone involved for making this project happen @libby_sears @michael.ruvo @alex_hromada8 @madi.travisano #Steve
