JJ와 타 국가대표 팀들이랑 같이 훈련하고, JJ 앞에서 그리디도 춰보고(겁나못춤) + 1대1도 하고 + 올스타팀에서 중국 국대 선수들 상대로 개막식때 친선경기까지 해보고, 아시아 플래그판에서 중요한 역할을 하고 계신 멋진 분들도 만나고… 꿈만 같았던 주말.

구글을 퇴사합니다.

제 꿈의 직장이 구글이였고 커리어 목표가 구글에서 은퇴하는거였는데, 막상 퇴사한다고 하니 마음이 싱숭생숭 하네요.

이렇게 좋은 회사를 왜 그만두냐는 질문을 많이 받는데, 저 역시 스스로에게 수없이 이 질문을 던졌었어요

직장에서 인간관계 때문에 힘들다는 얘기를 주변에서 많이 듣는데, 저는 단 한 번도 사람 때문에 힘들었던 적이 없었어요. 엄청 복받은 직장생활이였죠. 사실 이 부분 때문에 퇴사 결정이 더 어려웠어요 …

결론적으로 제 마음의 건강을 위해서 퇴사하기로 했어요.
16년부터 알바, 인턴, 정규직까지 쉬지 않고 달려왔기에 이제는 잠시 쉬어가고 싶어요. 그리고 충분히 휴식을 취한 후에는 제가 진심으로 좋아하는 일에 도전해보려 해요. 그래야 후회없는 삶을 살 수 있을 것 같아요.

구글러분들 3년 동안 제 weekday 행복을 책임져주셔서 감사합니다. 세상에서 가장 똑똑하고 멋진 사람들과 일하고 추억을 만들 수 있어서 너무 행복했어요 🩵🪽

당분간은 좀 슬플것같지만… 극복하면서 백수 겸 플래그풋볼 국가대표로 열심히 할 예정이니 많은 응원 부탁드려요 🏈

i’m leaving google after 3 years.

google was my dream job and retiring here was my end goal, so announcing that i’m resigning feels extremely bittersweet.

many have asked why the hell i would leave such a good job, a question i’ve asked countless times to myself.

i often hear that people in korea struggle bc of interpersonal relationships at work, but i’ve never had a hard time because of people. i literally had the most blessed working life.
and this is what making this decision soo damn difficult…

in short, i’m quitting for my mental well-being.
i’ve been working non-stop since 2016, from pt jobs to internships to ft positions. i plan to take a much needed break now, at least for the time being. afterwards, i’m going to do something i truly love & care about. to live a life without regrets

to my fellow googlers, thank you for being responsible for my weekday happiness for the past 3 years. it has been my greatest honor working alongside & meeting some of the smartest and biggest people i know.

i’ll be sad for a while, but in the meantime, i’ll suck it up & focus on flag football as an unemployed national athlete. wish me luck! 🏈

야구여왕2 트라이아웃 장면들, 추억으로 남기기 ⚾️ (아쉽게도 불합격했지만!!)
moments from my Baseball Queen 2 tryout ⚾️ (spoiler i did not make it)

i got asked to try out for Baseball Queen season 2, so i learned baseball in just 2 weeks before trying out alongside 17 current/former national/pro athletes from different sports. i was so busy fangirling over everyone during the shoot that i wasnt even nervous (i also knew i wouldnt make it as soon as i saw the first few contestants 😂)

spending the day with women athletes who have paved the way in their respective sports inspired me deeply.

despite the outcome, if even one more person in korea learned about flag football because of this, and if i got to show even a glimpse of what a flag athlete is made of, then it was so worth it.

i love what this show is doing. please give it a lot of love ❤️ @baseballqueen_official

야구여왕 시즌2 트라이아웃 제안을 받고, 2주 동안 야구를 배워 전현직 국가대표 및 프로 선수 출신 여성 선수분들과 함께 트라이아웃을 치렀습니다. 촬영 내내 너무 팬심으로 구경하느라 정작 긴장은 하나도 안했던 것 같아요...

촬영을 통해 우리나라에는 각자의 종목에서 길을 개척해온 여성 선수들이 정말 많다는 걸 다시 한번 느꼈고, 그분들의 뛰어난 역량을 직접 볼 수 있어서 너무 뜻깊은 시간이었습니다.

한국에서 단 한 사람이라도 플래그풋볼이라는 종목을 더 알게 되었다면, 또 제가 플래그풋볼 선수가 어떤 선수인지 조금이나마 보여드릴 수 있었다면 그것만으로도 정말 의미 있는 경험이었습니다! 야구여왕2 첫화부터 너무 재밌습니다 채널A 목 22시 많은 관심 부탁드립니다! taken in South Korea by @gownsuh

camp beezy 2026 - athlete & organizer edition.

there was a moment when i took a breather to look out at the field. i saw the months of preparation that came to fruition and observed everyone playing, mingling, eating, etc.. i watched our volunteers work relentlessly to enhance the quality of the tournament for all athletes. the media staff, the referees, the coaches, Cam @cambeezy_24, and everyone else who took time out of their lives to gift this experience to everyone.

at that moment, i was overwhelmed with a sense of joy and deep purpose of wanting this community to last for a long long time.

the intense preparation and commitment required to make this camp beezy successful before, during, and after, and also having to play at the highest level were no easy feats, but it was so worth it. i hope you all had a great experience.

here's to a successful @campbeezy_ in my own home country! 🇰🇷 for the love of the game! 우리 모두 오래오래 건강하게 플래그 합시다 ❤️
