6 months postpartum. <3

Today’s class hit a little differently.

I’d be lying if I said I don’t miss my old body, the strength, the endurance, and the way I used to feel in it. There are definitely moments where I wish I could fast-forward and feel like “myself” again.

But I’m realizing that maybe the goal isn’t to get my old body back. Maybe it’s to build a new relationship with my body and appreciate everything it’s carried me through.

Today, I pushed myself. I got tired. I kept going. And I walked out reminded that I’m still getting stronger, even when I don’t always feel it.

I’m ready for this journey. Ready to see what this new version of me is capable of. And grateful to have OTF helping me take it one class at a time. 💪🏾

Here’s to 6 months postpartum, showing up for myself, and becoming stronger along the way. 🥹

Motherhood is so many things at once. lol

Some days feel beautiful. Some feel overwhelming. Most feel like both.

But somewhere in all of it, I’m learning that I don’t have to do motherhood perfectly. I just have to be present, keep learning, and love my baby through every season.

Dylan is almost 6 months, and we’re getting ready for all the little milestones ahead. 🥹

I’ve been looking into straw cups designed for more than just water, and I love that the Grosmimi straw cup gifted by @onzenna.official has a valve and air-hole system to help manage pressure and reduce milk creeping up the straw and overflowing. As you can see, Dylan is super excited to put it to use. :)))

Getting back into fitness as a mom looks a little different these days. <3

Between motherhood and finding time for myself, trying something new can feel a little intimidating. But one thing I appreciated about my first Orangetheory experience was how much guidance they provide from the moment you walk in.

From the studio tour and meeting your coach to learning the workout and reviewing your results afterward, you’re not expected to figure everything out on your own.

So if you’ve been thinking about trying your first class but feel a little nervous, let this be your sign to give yourself a chance. You don’t have to know it all before you start. You just have to show up. :)))

And to my moms getting back into their routines: we’re making space for ourselves, too. 🥹

I DID IT. 🥹🍊

My first DriTri is officially DONE!

I came into this challenge knowing it would be hard, but I don’t think I realized just how emotional it would feel. Somewhere in the middle, I started thinking about my pre-pregnancy body and the endurance I used to have, and I got emotional.

But I kept going.

The Strength format:
(which included burpees, hand release push ups, tap squats, hit reserve lunges & hammer curls)

300m row → 3 rounds of 50 reps → 300m row → 2 rounds of 50 reps → 100m row → 1 round of 50 reps → 0.5 mile tread at 10% incline. 🔥

There were moments I had to stop, catch my breath, and remind myself that I didn’t come here to be who I was before pregnancy. I came here to see what I could do NOW.

My coaches were so supportive, and one of them even finished with me. :)))

It was challenging. It was fun. I cried 😂. I pushed. And I FINISHED.

I’m really proud of myself. <3
