I still can’t believe this happened!!! Been dreaming about this for so long, and yesterday on scuba a pod of dolphins just hung out next to us like it was nothing. I couldn’t keep it together, tears in my goggles. It’s an honor to be a guest in their home. Some dives stay with you long after you surface 💙 When dolphins appear out of the blue and for a few unforgettable moments, you get to share their world… 🐬 📹 @ocean_mermaid_ponta #scubadiving #dolphins #gozoazuldiving #paditv #divemozambique by @gozoazuldiving
As if you needed another reason to dive with us…👀😉 We’ve had the engines wrapped on all three Gozo Azul boats, and of course we’re showing them off! Huge thanks to @ink_monkey_wraps for making our fleet look this good!!🔥 by @gozoazuldiving
At first, all you see is a white horizontal line in the distance. You watch it approach through the blue, until that unmistakable shape becomes clear. A scalloped hammerhead…🦈 They’re often a bit shy, but sometimes you’re able to get close enough to see the texture of their skin, the individual scars and markings, and the sunlight dancing across their bodies with every gentle turn. For those few seconds, you get to appreciate details you’d never see from a distance. An encounter that leaves you in awe, no matter how many times you’ve been underwater! 💙 📹 - @josh_d_gloy #paditv #sharkdiving #scallopedhammerhead #scubadiving #divemozambique by @gozoazuldiving
Today I helped out during a Rescue Diver course, playing the role of a panicked diver both on the surface and underwater. We practised searching for a missing diver, rescuing an unconscious diver and getting them safely back onto the boat. Definitely not your average day in the ocean. But just when we thought the day was over, we got an unexpected surprise. A group of dolphins started swimming alongside our boat on the way back. From rescue scenarios to one of the coolest boat rides I’ve had so far. Mozambique, you keep surprising me. 🌊 #rescuediver #divemastertraining #scubadiving #dolphins #mozambiquediving by @gozoazuldiving

Some dives stay with you long after you surface 🦈💙 Today’s dives on Pinnacles gave us something truly special: a beautiful school of scalloped hammerheads (Sphyrna lewini) cruising through the blue. A few fascinating facts about these incredible sharks: • Their name comes from the scalloped indentations along the front edge of their hammer-shaped head. • They can gather in large schools during the day, often dispersing at night to hunt. • Scalloped hammerheads eat mainly fish and squid, but their diet also includes octopus, crustaceans and stingrays With truly unbaited shark diving, encounters are never guaranteed. Moments like today are a privilege, and a beautiful reminder of why sharks deserves protection 💙 📹 - @josh_d_gloy #sharkdiving #divemozambique #scubadiving #padiaware #protectsharks by @gozoazuldiving
