POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Finally posting the results from my @grading.mba experiment at the National this year. Very pleased with the results, but the customer service & communication as we all know lacked. I’m sure they will get that ironed out. 12 cards did not receive a diamond 7 silver diamonds 3 gold diamonds 3 gold diamonds MBA Pristine+ (triumvirate, Court masters & best cuts) The MBA website is super clean with high res scans of the cards, pop reports and a digital Heat map showing deficiencies. I’ll definitely be submitting more at the next show where I’m able especially since most of mine are very old BGS grades. by @gpcards24

Long post ahead….I pulled this 97/98 Chrome Refractor when I moved to Kentucky at the Simpsonville Flea Market in 1998 when I was 13 years old…thought it would never leave my collection. Graded in the mid 2010’s, which it got a @beckettcollect 9 because of centering (the color is perfect)… Well, I met this guy, Dave at East End Sports Cards back in 2008 when I moved to Louisville who just so happened to have the exact same card, but his had perfect centering. Of course, Dave graded it and it got a BGS9.5…now he knew I was a BGS9.5 fanatic and held it over me for the next 14 years. I always asked about it and he reminded me his 9.5 was better centered than my 9. The last time I saw Dave was at the hospital in May and wanted to make sure I got the card. Well, today, a trade was made for the better centered one. Even though I’ll be selling some cards, this one has a story behind worth more than the money and will not be leaving the 9.5 stash. Thanks to @louisvillesportscardsshop for the easy deal as always. This is #pc RIP Dave. It’s an honor to have this in my hands as it’s more than a card. #90s #refractor by @gpcards24

These were the two that crossed. Lots of messages about this - you can send to PSA with a minimum grade designation. If it meets the minimum grade then they will crack and reholder. If it doesn’t, they just send the original slab back. Now, you still get charged. taken in Saint Matthews, Kentucky by @gpcards24

Been slowly sending some of my BGS9 & BGS 9.5 to @psacard with their crossover service. The latest submission was 6 total cards; five BGS 9 & one BGS9.5 Gem++ These two 0.5 from #gem both crossed over to PSA 9’s which is a nice bump! Thanks @gagrading for taking care of these for me! by @gpcards24
