Little did I know 18 years ago that I was getting a mini-me and neither did Nanny. We did everything together. From pretending you were done eating at Sunday dinners just so you could sit on my lap at the kids’ table and eat off my plate (Nanny always knew to give me extra salad). From the times I came home from college to have lunch with you and Nanny, to splitting Klondike bars, wearing matching sneakers, doing our handshakes, dancing down Disney hallways, and even choosing the same jersey number. Now, 18 years later, well, just a few days shy of your actual 18th birthday. We get to share something even deeper: not just one, but two matching tattoos. Our jersey number and more importantly a tribute to Nanny, who will forever be with her mini-me granddaughters. We’ll carry her love not just in our hearts, but on our wrists for the world to see. We love you Nanny always + forever. You are the best Nanny in the entire world, and we were so lucky we got to call you ours. A big thank you to @_claudsworld_ for creating this memory for us 🫶🏼 taken in 7 Souls Tattoo Jersey City by @gr4c3.13
