After nearly 3 weeks not being able to canoe we were so excited to finally get back out. We knew the rain would have washed out a lot of rubbish into the sea and we were not wrong !!!! Paddling around Keçi adasi we collected the floating rubbish then cleaned 3 beaches. It's always a good day with Angie and Nur, who could imagine picking up rubbish could be so much fun 😁

Sundays #econoeing with Nur and Angie was long and hard.
Two extremes, the beauty of nature and the uglyness of what man is doing to it
WHY do we allow this to happen when we all depend on tourism ??? It makes no sense to me at all !! 😪😪 by @grabapaddle

A very satisfying day !! Tired, but happy ! The rubbish from the sunken pirate ship still washing up....we found hundreds of balls and a slide from the childrens play area !!!! 😭 Love the support from the local day trip boats who offered us food and drinks and thanks to Blue Paradise boat that took all the rubbish from the front of our canoes which made the paddle back easier 💙💚😁👍

We took the inflatable canoe to Bozburun to meet up with Jackie who feeds the rabbits on Kiseli adasi and cleans the beaches there. She is doing a marvellous job !! 💪💪💪🥰👏👏👏

We aimed to go straight to Cennet Adasi but we kept getting waylaid !! Everytime we passed a beach on Keçi Adasi there was something we just had to pick up !!! In the end we cleaned the 4 beaches on Keçi adasi and then moved on to Özel Mülk Plaj on Cennet Adasi. It was a fun and productive day 😁

Met the Parry family who are here on holiday and dad Chris and Oscar (12 years old) who canoe in the UK joined to help me clean up the beaches that you can only reach by sea. What a great morning and thank you that you care enough to make a difference 💚💙🩵
