volleyball.
man, I’m really at a loss of words. This sport has been my whole life for the last 11 years. I can’t imagine a day or night where I wasn’t in a gym doing what I love. As I played my last game of my career yesterday, I took it all in one last time. All the late nights, the early mornings, the laughs, the tears, the never ending bruises (lol), the people, and the memories. In that moment, I can proudly say that I’d do it all over again. I’ve met many different versions of myself over these years & I’m so grateful for the person I’ve become today.

I can’t thank God enough for blessing me with an able body, talent, & the opportunity to play this amazing sport with all the beautiful people I’ve met along the way. Thank you to everyone who has supported me & cheered for me on this journey. Thank you SWIC, for giving me a surreal & happy ending. I’ll forever carry all I’ve learned & the people I’ve loved from volleyball throughout life with me.

#15, #20, #25, & finally #9 signing out. 🤍 by @grace.johnson_15
