We originally had a simpler and heavily navy suite design in the works for the Lindsey Wedding, but switched last minute to a lighter color palette and whimsical florals– I'm so glad we did! When Miguel and I got married, one of the things I couldn’t stop thinking about was how badly I never wanted to forget the joy of that day. Not just the big moments, but the quiet ones too. The feeling of holding my bouquet for the first time. The softness of the petals. The way everything smelled like celebration, promise, and new beginnings.So after our wedding, I pressed my own flowers.At first, it was simply because I wanted to preserve something beautiful before it faded. But somewhere in the process, the Lord began using it to remind me of something so much deeper.“Consider the lilies of the field…”Flowers fade. Petals dry. Seasons change. Yet Scripture says God still clothes the lilies in beauty and cares for them with tenderness and intentionality. Every preserved flower now reminds me that if God cares so deeply for flowers that fade, how much more does He care for me?Me — someone He loved enough to send His Son Jesus for. Someone He gently keeps. Someone He intentionally sees. Someone He lovingly calls His own.That’s truly the heart behind Eternal & Kept.Preserving flowers was never just about preserving flowers for me. It became a reminder of the gentleness, intentionality, and care of our Creator, Savior, and Keeper. A reminder that the same God who carefully clothes the lilies also lovingly cares for His children.These florals once witnessed covenant, joy, prayer, tears, and love. And I believe the God who considered the lilies also deeply considers every person and memory connected to them. by @grace_riley_design
