Celebrated our anniversary @toroboston ^_^ with a tasting menu personally curated by me and our amazing waiter. Here’s what we ate and drank!
First: anchovy stuffed pickle 🥒 and salted cod 🐟 croquettes on a bed of aioli with deep fried lemon 🍋 rind rings (yum) with a vermut blanco which was off-dry if you ask me and went really well with the lemony fish.
Second: mushroom 🍄‍🟫 ragu with a tamari butter egg yolk and a red vermouth which was a little sweeter and went really nice with the salty dish.
Finally: I got the foie gras wjich came on a slice of pumpkin bread and tomatoes. I had wanted to pair it with a cream sherry, which I had read goes nicely with the meat; but the waiter recommended a fino sherry instead which ended up being perfect since the pumpkin bread was already sweet: this was one of those bites that I’ll remember for a long time! Pete’s bone 🦴 marrow with citrus 🍊 salad came with an oloroso sherry luge. I was happy that he let me have it because I wanted to try that kind of sherry, too!
Can’t wait for our Spanish themed wedding anniversary 🍷 with all of the vermouth ^_^ taken in Boston, MA by @graceandbenji

Sisters are God’s gift to women. But remember: anyone can be your sister. Reject the neoliberal propaganda that you have to have grown up in the same family to be sisters.

Another great use for your local library card: discounted tickets to the aquarium. If you don’t already have one, now is your chance ! September is National Library Card Signup Month.
