Building pathways of connections are a big important part of our yoga practices.

We connect to our inward experience.
We find connection within our body without it being tied to pushing, punishment or shame.

We build connection within our minds understanding a little more our processes, habits and our thought patterns.

And when we feel more connected to ourselves in this way, we begin to expand this connection outwardly to others, nature and this earth.

All of these connection points get nurtured by the practice of kindness, and this kindness starts to ripple out and my god doesn’t the world need some bloody kindness right now.

Here’s to practicing connection. by @gracebowering

My evolving love for an embodied approach to practice.

It’s seeped into the way I move, the way I explore breath, and the way I explore the teachings.

It’s not only allowed me to build trust in my own body, but also trust in how I move through life.

It’s slowly unraveled into the language I use when I share, and also the language I use with myself.

Grateful for yoga and its continuous exploration & support that it offers. by @gracebowering

Leaning into the goddess, devotion, retreat life & nature.

Here’s a collection of images connected or inspired by the workshop which I held recently around exploring the goddess archetypes.

Leaning into non-dual Tantra through practice, study, wander & awe.

In these traditions the path is everywhere.

All practice, all experience, is a vehicle to awakening our inherent intimacy & connection with everything. This is something I’ve been feeling deeply recently.

These past 3 years I’ve been delving deeper into practices around the Daśā Mahāvidya - the 10 wisdom goddesses, which I shared a little about too - more to say on this another time.

Thank you @loving_evolution & everyone who joined us at @the.croft.farm.escape what a truly beautiful time to honour our connection and have space to explore yogas many practices. by @gracebowering

“In many shamanic societies, if you came to a medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions: “When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop being comforted by the sweet territory of silence?”

Soaking up an incredibly special weekend retreat.

It was a space filled with so much love, sisterhood, deeep rest, giggles, and big belly laughs - it was everything we dreamed of and more.

It felt like a portal. By the Saturday afternoon, everyone was glowing, by the Sunday morning we cried witnessing how freely everyone was moving - it felt like such a privilege to witness the shifts.

Thank you to all of the incredible women (and baby) who joined us and made this space so special ~ we have been reminded of the absolute magic that happens when women gather.

Grateful to have held this retreat with my dear friend and partner in crime @gracebowering ~ it is a joy to do this with you ~ thank you for holding me and cheering me on.

Thank you to @the.croft.farm.escape for welcoming us with open arms and hosting us and thank you to Abs @eat_breathe_be for nourishing us with your delicious food.

Thank you to @aliceashley for capturing our retreat with such care, creativity & play.

What a team.

Thank you to @mother_cuppatea for supplying us with the most delicious teas from their Wellness Collection.

And to @wilder.botanics for your gorgeous Heartfelt & Sunrise Loose Leaf Teas & Radiance Drops Tincture.

And to @fushiwellbeing for providing our guests with a gorgeous Muscle & Joints Oil for an extra bit of pampering.

Feeling blessed 🌹

The experience is definitely still landing for us; we’ve both been pouring so much love into the preparation of the space all year long and will have much more to share as the weeks go by. by @gracebowering

The month of June was filled with lots of flowers, lots of practices and lots of books.

I’ve shared my voice in a variety of ways, embracing the shakiness and vulnerability of being human.
And overall, that’s felt good.

I’ve been helped out by others a lot.

I’ve joined a book club, and spent way too much time on the computer.

I’ve set up a newsletter to share my love of yoga from my practice to yours.

We can never (nor would I want to) encapsulate the whole month of experiences in this way, but, here’s a few glimmers & picture memories of its beauty. by @gracebowering

I left my wonderful yoga community when I moved back to the UK in 2021 & after a few moves, I started to feel lost in the yoga world.

I was struggling to figure out where I fit in to the booming industry which at times feels like it’s more to do with the perfect pose rather than a practice of embodiment, introspection, study and depth.

I met Jim when I moved to Brighton and I signed up the 2 year @vajrasatiyoga training course.
It’s been nearly a year since I finished the course.

Here’s a few takeaways (there’s SO many more).

//Somethings can be explained, some things have to be felt. Practice makes it all make sense. Keep practicing.

//We were asked to explore each route, each shape, each body part, each teaching, and then, to discuss with each other - shared learning is powerful.

//Approaching postures with play is key & I practice this often. Props are supportive, let’s use them more.

//Reading is like a muscle, the more you do the more you can do. Dyslexia doesn’t hold me back, younger me would be proud.

//Yoga really is a life long practice. There’s no rush, there’s no finish line.

//Community is beautiful & needed.

//My practice adapts to where I’m at in life and I’m slowly learning to meet myself there.

//Each year my devotion & passion deepens for yoga, 10 years in and a lifetime to go.

Thank you so much @jimtarranyoga & @khadinemorcomyoga for being such kind, generous and knowledgeable teachers.

Here’s a little diary of my time in yoga school. by @gracebowering
