The last few days have been difficult with vertigo, and I haven’t been able to spend much time painting or even looking at my computer.

But today I found myself wrapped up in the colours of Echoes of First Light, the sister painting to the one that recently found its forever home.

The turquoise water, the soft morning light, and the peaceful reflections lifted my spirits and reminded me how much joy painting brings me. It made me smile… and it made me look forward to getting back into the studio again.

Sometimes we create art for others, and sometimes it quietly gives something back to us.

Happy this painting has found a new home. Thank you to Studio Connexion Gallery and to the new Collector!

The air quality improved just enough yesterday that I was finally able to get out for a long, brisk walk. Even though there was still a hint of smoke in the air, it felt wonderful to stretch my legs and enjoy being outside.

Then, to come home to the news that this painting had sold made the day even more special. Moments like these fill my heart with gratitude.

The idea for this painting actually began a few years ago.

After the original from my Mountain Moods Collection sold, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. So I decided to revisit the idea on a much larger canvas.

Sometimes an idea deserves a second life.
