Scorpio is the eighth astrological sign of the zodiac. Scorpio can be associated with three different animals: the snake, the eagle, and most commonly the Scorpion.

In Greek Mythology Scorpio derives from the story of Orion. The giant Orion was a skilled hunter who claimed he could kill any animal on earth. Gaia (the personification of earth) sent a giant scorpion ‘Scorpius’ to kill Orion before he could harm any creatures. In their fight both Scorpius and Orion were killed, and in their ashes rose the namesake constellations.🦂

The popularised Scorpionic personality traits (someone born between October 23rd - November 21st), revolve around them having passionate and intense emotions. ♌️ August ~ Leo ♌️

Leo, Latin for Lion, is the fifth astrological sign in the zodiac. 🦁

In Greek mythology Leo was identified as the Nemean Lion. The Nemean Lion terrorised citizens and had a hide that was impenetrable. Killing the Lion was one of Hercules 12 labours, which he had to perform as penance for killing his family. All the weapons Hercules had attempted to use against the Lion failed, until he ultimately strangled the Lion to death. He then placed it into the sky as one of his conquests, forming the Leo Constellation.

The popularised personality traits of a Leo (someone born between July 23rd - August 22nd), refer to being brave, ambitious, charismatic, creative, and determined. Being a fire sign ruled by the Sun, it’s colour palette is that of a bright orange. A colour that demands attention, just like the zodiac sign.

Leo Astrological Overview:

Constellation: Leo
Element: Fire
Energy: Masculine
Quality: Fixed
Planet: Sun
Crystal: Peridot
Colour: Orange
Symbol: The Lion
