A vulnerable post but just wanted to share what the Lord has been doing in my heart recently. Romans 8 tells us to live a life through the spirit. This means being rooted deeply in the Lord through the highs and lows. Being a Christian is HARD! The enemy constantly sends us things to inhibit our relationship with the Lord and we hold onto these things because it’s comfortable for our worldly flesh. The Bible tells us God sent his son to be an offering for our sins and Romans 8:8 tells us those who are in the realm of flesh cannot please God. Recently I’ve been in a season of disconnect from my friends, teammates and coaches and up until spending this weekend with @fcatexas I wasn’t really understanding why.Sometimes we hold only worldly things so deeply and so tight it not only inhibits our relationship with the Lord but also the sacred friendships, relationships and blessings the Lord has provided us with. Whether that be pride, boastfulness, greed, envy or really anything, we as Christians all fall short to these sins. This weekend was a good reset and a reminder to take time and look at my life and think about what I’m holding onto so deeply to keep myself from the peace only God can provide.Romans 8:28 says “And we know that in all good things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his plan.” Verse 29 continues on to say “for those God fore knew. He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His son.” So think for a second, God knows everything about you and already knows what it is you’re holding onto. Conviction is real and from God but it’s SO GOOD! He is waiting with open arms for us to come to him with whatever it is. This week I challenge you to “go against the grain.” Prioritize Gods command over society’s expectations because in the end it leads to a life aligned with Gods purpose and unwavering faith! by @graceecarrolll

The first two days of this mission trip have truly been beyond a blessing. I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to serve this family. Today as I sat in the sun on the floor helping sweet baby Aiden work on his room in the house I saw the Lord’s light shining down on my life.
