I started this page to talk about what it’s actually like building a career in sports, and being a woman is inevitably part of that experience.

Women have fought incredibly hard to earn their place in this industry as athletes, coaches, broadcasters, executives, marketers, creatives, analysts and so much more. And we’re still fighting to be recognized for our talent, knowledge, ideas and accomplishments before our appearance.

I don’t think women need to dress a certain way or hide their femininity to earn respect. Women should be able to embrace all sides of themselves. But I do think we should be able to question whether the way women are portrayed in sports is helping move that respect forward or reinforcing the same stereotypes we’ve spent decades trying to break.

You can support feminine expression AND want media and advertising to do a better job reinforcing women as athletes, professionals, experts, and LEADERS.

Women deserve a seat at the table without their appearance being the most interesting thing about them. 👋
