I am thrilled to share that I am joining Ridgeview Elementary School as a BEST 2 teacher for grades 3-5. This means that I will be supporting students with emotional and behavioral disorders while teaching academics in a more individualized manner.

I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers going into this year. I am trying to make my classroom the most welcoming and inclusive space for my students. If you feel led to make a donation to my classroom, I have attached my Amazon wishlist below, and it will also be in my bio. Thank you so much!

everything that brought me here mattered.

when i first started at ku, i was so sure about many things. i wanted to join a campus ministry, become a special education teacher, participate in undergraduate research, and (hopefully) meet my future husband! all of those things came true and more! since my freshman year, i have been involved in undergraduate research with the wonderful @drdidion and other amazing professors. i joined @ku_challenge and grew deeper in my faith at @topekabaptist. i even got baptized this past summer to publicly profess my devotion to christ! i am graduating with honors in the elementary education unified program, and have accepted an emotional & behavioral disorders special education position! while i am forever grateful for my time at ku and all the experiences i have had, i couldn’t have done it without the unwavering support of my almost-husband @elifitz05.

if you would’ve told 18-year-old grace that all her dreams were coming true, she would have laughed in your face. ku is truly a magical place. i have called lawrence my home for the past 3 years and it is so bittersweet to say goodbye in 2 short months. the best thing about graduating, though, is that i will be a jayhawk for life! @universityofkansas, thank you for shaping and molding me to be the person i am today. you will be missed dearly! rock chalk forever ❤️💙 by @gracefitzgerald13
