A summer flower dye - a process I taught at @bonnington_centre as part of my Botanical Dye Club series. This silk headscarf was created using a random scattering of colours from my leftover petals, roots and leaves, trying to capture the pinky hues of the summer sunset.

The highs, the lows!!!! Caught World Cup fever and only just starting to recover now… next time bois, next time!!!

I upcycled a football shirt and handmade flags using deadstock silk from @yodomo.co which I naturally dyed pink, yellow and red with flowers and cochineal.

I hand-marbled the lettering on my flag using Irish moss seaweed extract from @marmorpaperie

Join me this Spring for a creative workshop exploring the ancient craft of botanical dyeing on silk, using only natural materials, such as plants, flowers, spices and bark.

You’ll learn how to prepare fabric, discover which plants and flowers produce long-lasting & surprising colours, and explore techniques for creating a variety of patterns.

You’ll also design and dye your own silk square scarf to take home with you - great as a bandana, around your neck or bag, or as a thoughtful, handmade gift.

If the weather allows, we’ll take a stroll through the lush gardens of Bonnington Square, discovering more about natural dye outdoors while enjoying a herbal tea.
