Much needed time off with people I haven't seen in awhile. Rediscovered DC. Loved all the cute areas. #cherryblossom5k #dcarchitecture #dcadventures taken in Washington D. C. by @gracefulchef

It's still very much surreal that one place I always felt at "HOME"no longer exists. I have witnessed few restaurant closure throughout my career but this feels different because Pearl Oyster Bar always have been home away home. Even years after I no longer work there. Every time I walk through the door. Maria @mnazzoli will greet me with " HI Honey! With Big Hug". Pearl is just not restaurant. We were dysfunctional family from staffs who work there and the regulars who became family like @mariaf.matheus and @paulettonyc Thank you Rebecca Charles for creating such a special place. I will truly miss @pearloysterbarnyc but we will always remain family. #goodbyesarehard #pearloysterbarnyc #truenycgem #wearedysfuctionalfamily #somanymemories #endofanera taken in West Village by @gracefulchef

Reminiscing. If there's one subway stop that represents all my time in NYC. It would be ACE 14th St Stop. This was the subway stop where I would always wait for train that never seem to come after long night working as a young line cook. This was subway stop after drinking until wee hours @artbarnyc & @mckennasnyc with Old Spice Market Crew. Even though we are all in different points in life as a chefs and person. I can say all the people I met there were the best. #missingsimplertimes #missingmyyouthfuldays #nycyoudrivemecrazy #nycforeverinmyheart❤️ #spicemarketnyc by @gracefulchef

Thank you @bianca_mary for this beautiful candle. I finally got to light it last night. Every word thats on the candle is how I feel about my friends at the moment. Like everyone else, I have been on emotional roller coaster. But I have to be thankful that I'm in far better situation than lot of people. My thought are with people who are most unfortunate situation. Lots of the hard working hospitality industry workers who don't even qualify to get benefits. Wish there was more I can do. But at moment. Let's all honker down and get to the other side. #weareallinthistogether #prayerfortheundocumentedworkers #staysafefriends #wecanbeatcorona #letsflattenthecurve #betterdaysarecoming by @gracefulchef

I'm so used to cooking Whole Dorade. Not filet. Special fish I ordered for this week is Dorade. Reminds me of @pearloysterbarnyc days, grilling whole dorade. With this fish, keeping it simple is the key. #keepinitsimple #dorade #specialoftheday #parsnippuree #roastedbrusselsprouts #blackolive #tomatorelish by @gracefulchef

Happy New Year!! 2019 started with @bianca_mary convincing me to run my first half marathon. I could not have done it without my support group. I'm ending 2019 with 4mile Midnight Run around Central Park. Looking forward to 2020!
