All phrases I heard repeatedly from other parents and now… here I am grappling with time. 🥲
My boys are 2️⃣ months old today. These photos are from their 1️⃣ month newborn session. I can’t believe how fast time is moving and how much they’ve grown in their couple months on earth. (that’s the only reason y’all get to see their faces 😂 they look nothing like this right now)

s/o to my girl @arielgphotography for persuading me to do the shoot. I was so deep in my postpartum haze & baby blues I kept saying “no. not right now. maybe down the road.”
She said, “I promise you, you’re going to look back and be glad you captured these moments. You’ll never get this time back.” 😭😭😭 she was absolutely right.

the year God made me a mother 💕
definitely wasn’t expecting to spend this birthday pregnant 😂 but here we are.

my body has created two lives, sustaining three.
from “me” to “we” for the rest of my life.

some day in the distant future,
my sons and I will be in our living room hanging out. one of those moscosos will grab a photo album off the shelf. he’s gonna flip through the images and then look at me to ask, “Mommy were you a model?”

😂 and I’m gonna have to look my sweet angels in their eyes to say, “No mijo. Mommy was just hella into herself.” LOL! 🤭😂🥲

my road to motherhood looked nothing like what I thought it would.

I find it ironic that I got pregnant with twins once I surrendered all expectations and outcomes. (God has a wild sense of humor 😂🤭)

During my first trimester the story of Hannah from the Bible would surface for me. How she would beg and plead with God to send her a son. For years she prayed and asked God repeatedly for a child. And then, when the time was aligned - God placed Samuel in her womb.

To the folks like me (and Hannah), your petitions to the Almighty don’t fall on deaf ears. Sometimes we just don’t have all the pieces in place. Or perhaps the timing hasn’t synced up perfectly. But when it’s destined… 🥹 babyyyy, let me tell you. Nothing can stop the blessings from reaching you.

after all the twists and turns it’s taken to get here, I can say with full certainty - timing is everything.

despite having all the elements present, nothing came to fruition until God, the galaxies, my angels, their angels, and every invisible force working in our good said: okay, ✨NOW 🥹

growing these boys is going by so fast. 🥹
every day I get closer to meeting them & meeting a new version of myself. me as a mom is something that felt so distant and now I’m weeks away from holding them in my arms. (😭🥹🥲)

baby moon 🌙

the sweetest, most gentle trip I could have envisioned for me & the boys. 👶🏽👶🏽

I thought I would have more moments of sadness as I sat with myself realizing the life I have loved, built, and lived was coming to an end, but they were seldom. I found myself walking along the beach excited that the next time I’d take a trip somewhere I’d have these two lil dudes with me. One in each hand 😭🥹🥲

I can’t believe how quickly this pregnancy is going. I see my body grow so much week to week now. I feel them kicking more each day.

I am still in awe that God saw me and said, enough of that loner shit. you’re going to be part of a trio now. 🥹💕🤭
