This is a reintroduction, for those of you who want to understand the lay of the land.

I’m Chef Grace! “Grace” is a much easier alternative when introducing myself because my name is actually “Graci-Lane” like “Sally-Sue” or something along those lines. I am a California native that also found Kaua’i to call home. I never thought I was going to find cooking, restaurants, kitchens, the “industry” in general as my career but when you find something you’re good at, keep at it.

My launch into the industry was more of a story relatable to being thrown to the wolves. Therefore, after all of my literal blood, sweat and tears, I am never phased. I pride myself on rolling with the punches, pivoting in the right direction for the sanity of everyone I am working with at the moment, and always looking for the best quality for our guests. In 2020, I started a small popup on Kaua’i called @feedkauaisoup. The traction was more than I expected, and still shouts out to all of my best friends (AKA “soup hoes”) that would come help me package or clean up so that I had a path to @roguediningcoslo. Originally “Rogue Dining Co. Kauai”, I was able to make incredible connections, amazing menus, MY OWN SCHEDULE, and feel like I was able to provide an intimate experience for people when at the time we lacked basic human connection. Moving forward to moving-ish back to California, I am able to be @chefcandice right hand. The pride I take in my own work is one thing, but if I’m with Candice or anyone else I work with, the level I commit myself to of quality and perfection is sometimes quite honestly overwhelming. I am an overall people pleaser and nothing less.

Aside from that; a failed musician 🤣, mouth like a sailor, good daughter, ocean enthusiast, major giver of unsolicited advice, usually *accidentally* the loudest person in the room, and an overall semi decent human being that wants to share a passion of good food, wine, friendship, and community with all of you in the most sustainable and loving way possible. taken in Paso Robles, California by @gracelandproject
