I started writing this song in Nashville, worked on it in California, and finished it in France, for a musical I’m writing with the incredible @therealmarcusscott.

After writing a lot of songs about heartbreak last year, I took a good look around and realized how much love I actually have in my life. Starting with my best friend, @natpricemusic, whose never failing ability to come through inspired some of these verses, along with this bell hooks quote:

“Love is an action, never simply a feeling.” @bellhooks_

Many thanks to my good friends. You know who you are. And to @maisonsimon.art for giving Marcus and I the space and peace to wax poetic about love and power and loss.
