Lost Wax is one week away from its US premiere at @slamdancegroup. Our surrealist drama weaves together the threads of a missing girl from Benin City and the stolen art - including the well documented bronzes - of the Benin kingdom through the eyes of an artist.

Art is a beautiful medium for expression and exploring the world around us. It allows us to interpret our present and understand our past.

Our short film, Lost Wax, is having its world premiere at the Reelworld Film Festival in Toronto as part of the entanglements shorts program. I’m so grateful for the folks @reelworld for their continued support.

When a young girl disappears from her apartment complex, Osas, a bronze caster and outsider within her community, is haunted by her grief for someone she only knew from a distance.

It took a community of people to make this film. I’m so thankful for our team in Nigeria, Canada, @hildamotion and @blushandslatefilms for their work. I’d also like to thank the BC Arts Council and Canada Council for the Arts for their support.
