Every time I train another Yin teacher, I know I’m impacting what kind of Yin they’ll go on to share with hundreds, perhaps even thousands of people over the course of their teaching life.

That’s has never been a responsibility I take lightly.

Art of Yin graduates have a profound experience of the Yin practice in their own body, which has been transformative for many. Their understanding of rebound is deeply energetic, their functional anatomy knowledge unparalleled and consistently individually-tailored, their capacity to hold space, their grounded bridging of Daoism and depth psychology nothing short of embodied. They leave the training after 6 months minimum of practice and mentorship confident and courageous, having finally released what was blocking access to their own voice in the process.

Cultivating self-directed, independent yoga teachers has been at the heart of The Art of Yin since I first began training 8 years ago. My training remains the longest-running 100hr Functional Yin Yoga teacher training in Ireland (I think maybe Europe and the UK too), and its graduates go on to play a central role in sharing person-centred and individually-tailored yoga with their students and clients in studios and clinics alike.

The next Art of Yin begins this September.
Most of the places have already been filled through in-person Functional Yin Foundations graduates; but I do have a few special places remaining for those embarking on the full 100hrs online.

In the past, this option has tended to suit those unable to travel (and those living abroad). I’m grateful to have more and more students joining from overseas.

If you’ve always had the feeling that there is much more to Yin Yoga than you’ve experienced so far, I think you’re probably right. And I believe you’re in exactly the right place.

Will you claim your voice this Autumn?
Will Yin be the practice that makes a truly great teacher and embodied space-holder out of you? ♥️

Launching… 🚀

Myoyin & Myofascial Face Therapy Training
August 1-3. 2026.
Marino Institute of Education, Dublin 9.

You will leave this training with a set of precise, teachable skills that will instantly set you apart! 🌀

♾️ The ability to integrate myofascial release balls into Functional Yin shapes with clarity and purpose

♾️ A way of working with fascia through stillness and presence, not force

♾️ The confidence to teach at the edge (FATE) without overwhelming the nervous system

♾️ A refined capacity to guide students into deeper interoceptive awareness and self-connection

♾️ A clear method which expands on rebound as the somatic integration piece

On day 3, you’ll experience guiding another person through a MyoYin practice, so you can bring it straight into your teaching and client work.

✨💛
Special bonus in 2026 is a very special “Face as Portal” Myofascial Face Therapy with @stephaniekingbruschi - think deeply therapeutic work on and around the face tapping into acupuncture points, and incorporating the most effective tools (which are absolutely incuded in your goodie bags along with a collection of myofascial release balls and your original MyoYin manual).

If you’re ready to differentiate your teaching in a saturated space, this is how you do it.

Interested in adding MYOYIN & FACE AS PORTAL to your work with students and clients?

Comment SKILL 👇🏼 and I’ll send you the details ♥️

Thought it was time I made a few new friends 😉

But if you’re not triggered to such a point that you can’t read the caption, maybe that’s a really good sign that you’re being redirected into a new embodiment path:
One that won’t sell you shortcuts, make empty promises about healing, or attempt to package rich embodied practices in an anonymous fast track production line.
Welcome! ♥️
#functionalyogaintegrated

The yoga industry has changed beyond recognition since 2020. Never have there been so many yoga trainings, and so few good teachers. The path into teacher training - which should really require separate training in pedagogy - is seen as an option for anyone at all who fancies it, instead of a separate profession requiring a totally different skillset and expertise.

𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬.

Now many are becoming “qualified” in any number of areas in a weekend, sometimes a day, sometimes a 6hr prerecorded course on Udemy.

There is a major problem when both the clinically trained professionals and the weekend course partakers use the same term (“qualified”) to refer to the acquisition of certain knowledge and skills - when in the latter case, there usually isn’t even a few weeks of integration time before the new certificate is added to the bio and offerings are updated.

𝐘𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲.
That’s when some want things done.
And I know this culture doesn’t make it easy for us to choose slower, deeper, more meaningful work when there are so many options that 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫 to be similar on display.

But this is where it is essential to look closely before you choose; and know that what is short, cheap, written by chat GPT, and selling you all the positives is likely not worth the time you give to reading it.

Maybe what we most need is what seems most countercultural. We need to make the radical decision to give more time to the learning environments and new skills we wish to anchor and embody.

Out last practice of The Art of Yang training yesterday felt akin to a massage and a facial ♥️
Myofascial release for the spine from coccyx to neck followed by a gua sha fascial treatment.

B o d y. T h e r a p y ✨🌀 which each trainee got the chance both to facilitate and receive after lunch.

I think we have entered a new arena when it comes to yoga teaching.
We know that a beginning 200hr training - no matter how well designed (and those are few and far between) is just a first step on a much longer path. And we know that path is paved by devotion to one’s personal practice first.

But I wonder if we are now aware of just how many other skills are required to successfully guide the practice for another… the art of teaching is one thing - an absolutely central tenet within Functional Yoga Integrated school - But beyond teaching, this palette of body therapies and embodiment practices asks for facilitation skills too.
Depends on psychotherapeutic skills.
Requires educator skills.
Really appreciates meditator skills.

It’s taken me a long time to realise the breadth and depth of journey I hold for people when they embark on their training with me, because it’s not just one thing I’m focused on developing in and with them.
It’s never just one skill set.
It’s the opposite of one-dimensional.

Language is voice empowerment is soul authority work.

Interoception is the practice of feeling is trauma-informed work.

Teaching without telling is an art form; boundary work relates to early relational dynamics.

And a training journey through the body’s wisdom will lead to transformation… which when you develop the courage to dance with soul, with truth, with your real work in the world, will lead you to that point within yourself which is both origin & arrival.

Both the place you started from,
and the place you were always going, all along.

It’s the most privileged work of my life thus far, so merged with who I am at my core that the inseparability can be the hardest thing I hold, and yet; the impact is unquestionable.

I’m grateful for all who embark on this journey, who trust their discerning intuition, and descend 🌀 by @gracetempany

After a really deep “yin on crack” weekend of Myofascial release & qi-moving yang flows, it’s time this morning to remind you about Yinto your PJs tonight.

3 Mondays of this late summer season remain, and you better believe it’ll be directing me with my sequencing. You don’t want to miss tonight’s - they don’t make body therapy like this elsewhere 💛

✨ The magic’s in the feeling.
✨ The healing’s in the staying.
✨ The growth’s in your committed ongoing practice
✨ The result’s tangible & visible to all who relate to you - because you’ve finally learned how to relate to yourself, in your discomfort as well as your happy moments, in your transitional growth curve edges as well as your successes.

Y i n w o r k s when you show up and meet it.
I’ll look forward to facilitating the space for you tonight, and indeed many more times this month ♥️

September Schedule in The Integration Space

🌀 Yinto your PJs: Sep 7/14/21/28

🌀 Book Club: Sep 23 - Alan Watts, Tao. The Watercourse Way.

This day two weeks ago we brought Ireland’s only second ever MyoYin training to a close after a long weekend of deep practice with various different balls of all shapes and sizes, as we I explored the connection between long-held yin shapes incorporating the balls and
• deep fascia
• nervous system capacity
• anti-inflammation
• psoas as the Daoist muscle of the soul AND its connection to body psychotherapy
• what transformative somatics can feel like
• how Paul Grilley’s functional approach can be extended, and
• how breathwork marries with myoyin to create one of the most powerful and direct modalities to
* access the issues in the tissues,
* target what the body holds, and
hear and experience its saying directly ✨🔮🌀☯️

Stephanie @stephaniekingbruschi blew everyone away with her mini training on Myofascial Face Therapy and Anna @annatliving assisted - a trooper after assisting also for The Art of Yang in June also.

Well done to all 💛
It’s very possible that the next #myoyin training will go online, as I know how many of you outside Ireland are waiting for it 😍 If you’re keen to be updated for the next training, make sure you’re subscribed to my mailing list at the #linkinbio

And tonight, being Monday, means Yinto Your PJs…
Late summer season is nigh - Yin’s favourite time of year, so if your practice has slipped a little this summer, tonight is the perfect time to return ♥️

One of my favourite moments in the lead-up for a training: preparing the goody bags ❤️

T-2 days for what is only the second ever MyoYin training on the island ✨ I’m psyched to have one of my assistant teachers @stephaniekingbruschi hosting her Myofascial Face Therapy mini training.

If expanding your horizons (along with your nervous system capacity) is what you’re here for - a FATE training will tick those boxes, and so many more besides.

Yin - Self-massage - Acupressure - MyoYin - Fascia - Somatics - Bodynamics - Stress Tolerance - Nervous System Expansion - Anatomy Trains - Deep Front Line - Daoism, Psoas & Soul … 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 💛

Just like The Art of Yin & Art of Yang curricula, there’s a book in it really. I can’t wait to continue the journey yinside with you all 🙂

I’ve one spot left… if this post reaches you 🤞

I’m fascinated by what happens when we stop trying to do more to the body and instead learn to listen to it.

𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐲𝐨𝐘𝐢𝐧 is a psychosomatic exploration of the Deep Front Line, the psoas and the abdominal fascial network using my signature long-held Yin shapes with integrated myofascial compression. This is not a forced practice, but it asks for staying - and maybe that is another version of the tenacity, grit, or resilience we would like to be enhancing in our lives. Maybe Yin & MyoYin through the 𝐅𝐀𝐓𝐄 method are the practices that allow us to work patiently 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞, enhancing our perception as we feel and remould through stillness.

I’ve often found that as our perception becomes more refined, our relationship with ourselves changes too. We begin to notice what was previously hidden; not only physically, but emotionally, psychologically, spiritually. Whether you call that intuition, your inner knowing, or simply becoming a better listener to your own body (which means you first need to become better at feeling), this intersection of body and mind is this territory that guides me in the teaching and the training. Exponential shifts have occurred for people through exploring the body 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭.

If you’d like to experience it for yourself, join me for this 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐲𝐨𝐘𝐢𝐧 workshop on 3rd August. And as you’re reading this, if something in you quietly recognises this depth already, there is still time to join this year’s three-day MyoYin & Myofascial Face Therapy Training. There are just a few places remaining, and @stephaniekingbruschi and I would be delighted to spend those three days with practitioners who feel genuinely called to explore and work with 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝.

Many ideas float around in my head and yet the energy around them is clear: stop, wait, there’s time yet, and more and more frequently, is this really the place for you to continue sharing and teaching - so generously?

I’ve been writing a few pieces that I’ll share to Substack. I’ve only started exploring it as a space, but ever since my most recent IG break in May/June, it feels like a sustainable alternative to ‘this’ is what many of us are seeking.

It’s been 10 years since I started my business account on Instagram. August 2016. It coincided with my return to Ireland after 3 years travelling and teaching yoga. Most of my growth arose in covid times, when Yin was the collective healing of the nation. It’s still that for many.

I hit 6,000 followers a couple of months ago. I don’t know what that means. Is it good? I’ve a feeling that 6,000 - in 10 years of regularly showing up to share and teach and run multiple free challenges for the community who gathered around - would be considered very slow indeed. But then I never cared about big followings; popularity amongst the masses never really registered as success for me. I’ve always had a soft spot for those misunderstood in their own time. Something of the autistic experience is surely present in that, right?

Anyway; this is me enjoying morning coffee and a pastry with my friend in my garden - that needs weeding again already(they came back!), and I’m really only sharing it as I am writing this afternoon and I thought the algorithm might appreciate it more than my musings on the Art of Yin training and my FATE body of work as an ‘epistemology’. I will of course share the link to that, because I believe that amongst you are quite a few who are able for it.
And as long as you’re here,
I’m here too 💛
