milo + ash on film <3

a day that was marked by intention to detail, hospitality, and good ole fashioned fun. ash walked down the aisle to mazzy star, we all cried. @batimus_prime officiated, we all laughed and cried. cocktail hour with the most thoughtful details (family portraits clipped to vintage tennis rackets, @artbycolson designed napkins, a custom built photo booth, and I could go on.) ash and milo wrote everyone a letter on the backside of prints by various guests’ artwork, again - there was happy crying. then we danced, like really really danced. like I left the dance floor once for a water break, and then resumed the party. @nate.tif was on photography duty, what a legend, and I got to follow him along with my lil film camera. what a day!!! taken in Paikka by @graciescottphoto

abby and connor married at their family’s lake home in late summer. every detail was thought about - down to the floral vessels created in a pottery class by abby and her mom! it’s always an honor to be trusted by a talented photographer to document their wedding. grateful and humbled by this day - cheers to the dalys 🧚🕯️🪻 taken in South Haven, Minnesota by @graciescottphoto

At home with the Conraths 💌 they made coffee, picked out a vinyl to spin, danced in the living room, and played bananagrams :,) These photos feel very “Jocelyn and Landon” and that was the goal - to freeze this season in images that capture their home and the magic of all their ordinary rituals 🎞️

I often feel pressured (I guess just from myself lol) to share images that show allllll the parts of a wedding day. But why? If you want to know how Michaela and Mark’s wedding FELT, this is the image I would show you. They reminded me what mattered - living in each moment of the day. Even if Brook and Evan got married in a dingy church basement, the day still would’ve been drenched with beauty and emotion. The speeches that had everyone in tears, the impromptu first dance, the giddiness of walking back down the aisle as husband and wife. There were so many times that I looked behind Brook and Evan and remembered this was all happening in such breathtaking creation. There are days where heaven feels much closer to earth, and this was one of them.
