Not long back from Sheffield where I was lucky to watch Kevin MacDonald’s Klitschko: More than a Fight have its premiere and open Sheffield’s Docfest. It was a surreal and humbling experience seeing the images that myself and Co-Director/DOP @edgardubrovskiy had spent the previous week crafting at my suite at Sky Post Production.
The film gives us a great insight into Kyiv’s longest serving mayor Vitali Klitschko’s journey from the boxing ring behind the Iron curtain to public office as he deals with the turmoil that the Russian Invasion of Ukraine has on Kyiv’s citizens. Edgar’s lensing offers a realistic portrayal of life in the Ukrainian capital and a intimacy of such an imposing figure that has is rarely seen which has been expertly woven into a cohesive and compelling story by @andrewjosephcross and Kevin MacDonald’s expereinced direction supported by a knockout sound mix crafted and mixed by @finncurry and Tom Nursey from Sky’s stellar audio team. I’m very grateful to Kevin Macdonald and the team at Docsville in intrusting this truly special project with us. #gradedonbaselight #skypostproduction by @grade_by_mark

I was really delighted to hear that The Great Rhino Robbery won the On Screen: Impact For Change award at the True Crime Awards last week. I had the pleasure of grading this last year at #skypostproduction for BBC Studios
Every member of finishing team from both picture and sound put so much love and care into the series which is available to download or stream on Sky and Now #skydocumentries #gradedonbaselight by @grade_by_mark

Yippee Kay Yay, it’s Die Hard Day! After the success of The Unofficial Science of Home Alone last year I worked on last year we’re back with The Unofficial Science of Die Hard! Whether you consider Die Hard a Christmas movie or not this is fun show and one of the most fun I’ve had in a grading suite!

You can catch it on Sky Max or NOW TV from 8.10pm tonight. #diehard #gradedonbaselight #skyoriginal #skypostproduction by @grade_by_mark

Wednesday I had the privilege of grading a 1hr @skynews special The Last Hospital: 30 Days in Myanmar. The grade was an incredibly tight turn around (less than a day) with some challenging shots and also some of the best embedded undercover photography I’ve had the pleasure of grading. #gradedonbaselight #skypostproduction taken in Sky Central by @grade_by_mark
