Less than two years ago, filmmaking wasn’t even part of my life.
I’d just graduated with a First in an Astrophysics Master’s degree. No camera. No film experience. No personal connections to the film industry whatsoever. I didn’t know what a key light was, I didn’t know what a cinematographer did, I knew nada.

A couple of months ago @sofiasaintjames and I entered the @2dayfilmchallenge hosted by @lamdadrama @thelondonfilmschool @rdstudios_uk . Out of 304 films and with a Cast & Crew of only 2 people, we finished as finalists and came 4th. 💪

Thank you to all those at Lambda, RD, and LFS who made this possible, to Benedict Cumberbatch, Mike Leigh, Indira Varma and Col Needham for their time in judging the top 10 films and to Gary Pillai for the Runner-up shoutout! 🙏

Can’t wait to do this bigger and better next year 🎉

Some Day Ext. Cinematography practice with a single 5-in-1 reflector. Ideally some combination of all three techniques would be used simultaneously, but we only had the means to do one at a time!

Shot on FX30

Simon Sinek on the biggest mistake we make as friends.

Sometimes someone just needs a person to sit in the mud with them, they don’t need a fix or a solution.
