So happy to be back to riding with the team! Though it is a little hot for me after being spoiled with Canada summer temps 🫠 by @graeme.raceswheels

The tightest finish this year at the @memorialparkcritseries. @itzdunk came out of the final corner with a strong lead, only to see @alexjwieseler hit the afterburners in the closing meters. Hopefully there is a video of the finish as it was apparently only 2-3 inches difference on a typical Houston evening heater. Kudos to Nikon for the incredible camera as the light was nearly gone but still captured the 38+mph sprint finish. #memorialpark #memorialparkconservancy #criterium by @graeme.raceswheels

Penultimate lap chase!

Memorial park crit week 4, P123 by @graeme.raceswheels

This year I made my NSC debut! It was a blast, and I can’t wait to go again next year!

We did the inaugural NSC relays this year, and I had a great time with my draw partner Stokley! We missed qualifying for the final by the smallest of margins, but it was a great way to skate out the race nerves.

I placed 5th in both the 1000m and 1600m finals, which wasn’t great, but was still something I could be proud of.

However, the night’s highlight for me was running the first flying 100m on the mens side. I ran a strong, smooth, 8.54s, which managed to hold the lead skater, after skater, after skater. Only Donovan and Miles were able to run faster times, and I set a record for the longest standing time in NSC history! That’s a record, and a PODIUM ON DEBUT!

Little guy wouldn’t leave our apartments alone by @graeme.raceswheels

I wasn’t able to attend the meet this weekend when they handed out these awards, nor did I know we had them to begin with, but the messages I got from the rest of the @champions_inline_racing team surprised me and it put a smile on my face seeing Mark volunteer as my body double. (10/10, perfect Graeme impression btw!)

With this recognition from the South Central Region, I’m continuing to push onward, raising my level, as well as the level of the friends and family who support me. And to all of you around me, a massive thank you. Let’s get after it! by @graeme.raceswheels

State Championships weekend was a MASSIVE success!

Big thanks to @southernelite_cycling and @jonahtannos for inviting me to join the team three weeks ago, as since then I’ve been lent a crazy bike to race on, picked up a local crit win, and came up to Austin for the State Championships.

I’m still racing in the Cat 4-5 races until I can upgrade, but I got to come show out with a race-winning sprint lead out by @ow3n_hall . He cooked his legs early on, and took our bad positions as an opportunity to bail me out for the final sprint. (I now owe him a leadout BTW!)

Best of all, Mom got to drive up the morning of to watch it all happen!

Then today I was accompanied by @benjamin.zavadsky to the Driveway Crit, where I sowed the group up a few times, absolutely burgled two primes from early attacks, and took another big sprint finish. (Totally convinced Benjamin to get on a bike too)

Hopefully I can carry this momentum toward my future races under Southern Elite and Junk Wheels!

First Crit, First Win!

Bear Creek Criterium ‘26 round 1 - Cat 4-5
Arrived late, got to the line just in time with no warmup, on a newly borrowed bike and no sunglasses. But all that mattered not!

Halfway through, sent a solo attack, two jumped across a lap later, and we worked fairly well until three to go. Attacks back to back, and so O sat on him and played chicken for a lap. Attack at 1km to the line and never looked back.

(Quickly followed by DJ winning the bunch sprint for 3rd!)

Super fun and stoked to do it again!

Tryin to get my ups back. I wasn’t practicing over winter. 😞

Still got a commanding grab at 10’ after indoor! by @graeme.raceswheels

Emerald Coast Challenge. Biggest meet of the year. First time really racing a parabolic track. Some good. Some disappointment.

Had a great trip and experience, even if my placements don’t reflect the way I hoped they would. A mix of inexperience on the track, and some bad luck indoor left me surprised to make it into the Race of Champions, but I pulled out 3rd place, which ended the week on a high note.

Got some more events coming up, and I’ll remember to take some more photos and videos next time. It was too much fun getting to skate and hang out with friends old and new, and I kind of forgot to get enough photos and videos to put together a meet post. 🤪

I’m back to training to come out stronger at the next one. 😎 by @graeme.raceswheels

Looking back fondly to my returning year. Got a few events under my belt, some exciting wins and some kicks in the behind. Looking forward to more adventures, training, and competitions in 2026! by @graeme.raceswheels

Let’s GOOO!!
After my first invitational in three years, I’m STOKED. I don’t know what I’m allowed to say, but I can post podium pics! 🤫

So it turns out that I’m back to full speed and was able to throw down with the best in the country, even if I need to train to prevent leg lock for next time. Also, me, Mr Distance, got caught completely off guard by my placements, doing best in my 1 and 5 lap races!

I’m now back to training and am looking forward to seeing everyone at emerald coast!
