With very low mite loads this fall we are trying thymovar. Is anyone else trying something new and how are everyone’s mites looking? Our last washes we did early September were 0.5% at the highest which we are very happy about and the bees are looking amazing!

The old ironing board was out today and that means one thing! All new honey will finally be coming to the website! And more in another few weeks. We have some amazing honeys this year as usual and some new ones the bees made that we have never had. Honey will be available online by the end of the weekend!
@truenature_media is always showing the best the honey has to offer.

This summer has been the busiest craziest summer of my life and it feels like just yesterday I was checking the hives for June honey. We did a lot of exciting things this season with the bees. Including implementing much better selection methods for our future breeders. One of these queens in the photo received an A+ for honey production. Can you guess which one? 😂
I’ll share more in a few weeks about the queens and in the mean time if you want to try some of the amazing new honeys come in in the store! We are open Wednesday - Sunday 10-5

Our queen season is short here in Ontario. For 12 weeks every Monday we catch our mated queens that go on to other beekeepers. We feel we are producing some of the best queens you can get and although the season is almost done, we are excited for next year and the amazing queens it will bring! #bees #honeybee #queen #queenbee by @graemefoers

Every year is different in beekeeping and so is the honey! I have never tried a honey like this in my 14 years of beekeeping, and it showed up in all my Muskoka yards. A vanilla peachy honey has come in. Hoping there is some basswood in there somewhere, we will find out this weekend when we start to extract! by @graemefoers

We are busy with the honey harvest and working hard on getting the basswood honey everyone loves! Normally we get a better basswood up north with less flowers blooming over top of it. We should have some fresh basswood early August!

Hopefully everyone else is able to access their yards! I was worried about this one in the spring but was told it would all dry up but apparently not! by @graemefoers

A queen bee is the mother of all the bees in the bee hive. She will lay her body weight in eggs per day, around 2,000 eggs. by @graemefoers
