We are delighted to announce @pickering54 and @graemepark as our headliners today all in aid of @sarcoma_uk .

Mike Pickering began his career at Factory Records in the early 1980s as an A&R executive (signing Happy Mondays and James) and pioneered UK house music as a resident DJ at the Haçienda. He later co-founded Deconstruction Records and formed the BRIT and Mercury Prize-winning group M People. As an A&R executive at Columbia Records, he signed and developed artists such as Calvin Harris, Kasabian, and Gossip. He is also the author of the memoir Manchester Must Dance.

The story of DJ Graeme Park really mirrors the story of the evolution of dance music and club culture itself. Graeme found himself working in a Nottingham record shop called Selectadisc in the early 1980s, when the very first house records began to filter through from Chicago, Detroit and New York. Determined to showcase this new style of music, his reputation as a house pioneer soon brought him to the attention of The Haçienda in Manchester, who asked him to cover for Mike Pickering while he went on holiday in 1988 and played for many years after. In the past few years Graeme has performed alongside a host of legendary DJs such as Todd Terry, David Morales, Derrick Carter, Louie Vega, Danny Krivit, Marshall Jefferson and others for a variety of FAC51 The Haçienda club nights playing a selection of contemporary tunes alongside a variety of forgotten classics.
They are joined by @tomsharkett and residents @trafford_dj and @samuelpottss . Big thanks to our friends at @central.estates @alphathetaglobal @lighting.stage.design @rgbcomplex 🤝 @julietcrommers This event is sold out. taken in Walthamstow Trades Hall by @graemepark

A special one this Halloween…

Graeme Park joins us in the basement on Saturday 31st October, sharing the bill with Todd Terry for a night of proper house music.

Between them, there’s decades of club culture, records and dancefloors behind the story. Two names who have been doing this since the early days, together in an intimate Liverpool setting.

Ben Park and Raj Acquilla join them on the night.
