Join Artists' Attic for the closing reception of "Gravity and Its Opposite", a juxtaposition of the representational and abstract, featuring the paintings of artists Graham Pohl and John Lackey.

At 2 PM, Graham and John will share insights into their creative process and the stories behind their works.

A wonderful opportunity to experience the exhibition with the artists, and purchase artwork before the show closes.

Free and open to the public. taken in Artists' Attic by @grahampohl

Drawing and underpainting for my current project. Acrylic on cradled board. Next step… oils! - plenty of color and contrast.

The Reimagine exhibition is fabulous, and such a worthwhile cause. Young Children’s whacky cool drawings inspire supposedly adult artists. (-; https://app.galabid.com/reimagine-2026 by @grahampohl

Honored to be exhibiting 17 pieces with John Lackey at Artists Attic. My work is representational, John chose to show his abstracts. The counterpoint will be fun! by @grahampohl

“Sea Hawks” acrylic and oil on canvas, 36” square. It’s all about the men on the jetty for me. The clarity above suggesting quiet simplicity and escape, the clutter below telling the truth. From photos of the jetty behind the fish market in Panama City, Panama. Will be in my show with the incomparable John Lackey at Artists Attic starting next week. #fishermen #egretpainting #fishingboat #scavengers #turquoisewater by @grahampohl

“Through the Looking Glass” acrylic and oil on linen, 24”x30” From a reference photo taken from our room at Ballymaloe House, County Cork, Ireland. Stunning place. I liked the flat light, the floating planes of tables and chairs, the roughness of the paving, maybe suggesting a difficult road. And the private moment, for two who could be you and me. #expressiverealism #stonespainting #winepainting #ballymaloe by @grahampohl

“City Me, City You” acrylic and marker on paper, 12” x 16”. My interpretation of a child’s drawing for the Reimagine exhibition. Show is Sept 18 - Oct 9 at the main public library, downtown Lexington. This is always my favorite exhibition. Scroll to see the child’s drawing that inspired my explorations. 😁 by @grahampohl
