Round four of our weekly feature, Faces of the Community. Introducing: @grammage_

My name is Romane, and I come from France, more specifically from the south of the country. I feel deeply connected to this place, where wild and unspoiled landscapes create the impression that time stands still.

I have always felt a strong connection to the sea, it is the place that brings me the greatest sense of calm.
This relationship directly influences my photographic practice, which, for me, is a way to slow down and truly take the time to observe.

I work exclusively with analog photography. This demanding approach requires me to think carefully about each image and to be fully present in the moment. I also notice that I am constantly drawn to the same elements: bold colors, light reflecting on water, and quiet, peaceful atmospheres.

Photography is also a way for me to mark time, as if to say, “this existed.” I am afraid of forgetting what l experience and create; taking photographs allows me to anchor these moments and give them a sense of permanence.
