My son left for Afghanistan just after Thanksgiving one year. I just couldn’t deal. This was the first one to leave the nest, let alone the country.

My best friend came over early Christmas morning and found presents but no tree or decorations. She left and talked to our other neighbor, who had been up early with her toddlers. I looked out the window to see them carrying her fully decorated Christmas tree up my driveway. They brought it in and, with a little fluffing, made it look like (it) was paying rent.

Their love and actions that day saved me…

We are not meant to exist without support and love of others. If you are in a dark place today, reach out to your village.

If you don’t think you have a village, reach out to me…I am your village… by @grammaperry

One of my besties went to be with Jesus last week. Last night, two of our other friends and I sat out and laughed and cried and told stories about our friend. Someone noticed these clouds above and we felt that our friend was with us….Rest in Peace Diane… by @grammaperry
