I felt that lines like “we’re the best” or “we’re cool” have already been overused. So even though this was a jewelry commercial, I wanted to avoid a conventional approach. Since the film was intended for Western audiences, I aimed for something slightly unfamiliar, something that would draw people in. Through that, I hoped to naturally convey an Eastern Aisa aesthetic and sensibility. Go. I don’t fully understand the rules, but its imagery has always stayed with me. For this project, I referenced the mood of The Match, shaping the piece around tension and mise-en-scène. directed by Gran niño by @gran.nino

It’s been about two years since we shot this project, but looking back, I realize that the direction I strive for as a director hasn’t changed much. Creating something that keeps you watching from beginning to end. And not simply presenting a series of beautiful images, but creating a story within them. The quality of a single frame is important, but I believe film is ultimately a medium where multiple frames come together to create a sense of time and, eventually, a story. That’s why I continue to pursue directing that goes beyond creating a beautiful scene. I want to find meaning between one frame and the next, allowing those moments to build upon one another until they become a complete story. Looking back at this project from two years ago, I’m glad to see that, at least in this regard, the direction I want to pursue remains the same. directed by gran niño by @gran.nino

When we were young, we all probably loved origami. So for this lemonade music video, I wanted to return to that childlike mind while creating it. Filming it in real life would have been far too expensive, so we made the bold decision to use AI. 내 딸이 태어난 지 어느덧 200일. 엄마 뱃속에서 세상에 나오던 날, 손바닥만 하던 핏덩이 같던 네가 엊그제 같은데 이제는 제법 기어 다닌다. 네가 태어나기 전, 엄마 뱃속에 있을 때부터 혼자 몇 번이나 약속했었다. 좋은 아빠가 되겠다고. 네가 자라면서 부끄럽지 않은 아빠가 되겠다고. 그런데 막상 아빠가 되어보니 생각했던 것보다 훨씬 어렵다. 네가 울면 왜 우는지 몰라 당황하고, 잠들지 않는 밤에는 같이 지쳐가고, 내가 잘하고 있는 건지 매일 스스로에게 묻게 된다. 그래도 네가 처음 웃어준 날, 처음 내 손가락을 잡았던 순간, 그리고 이제는 작은 손과 무릎으로 세상을 향해 기어가는 모습을 보고 있으면 아빠가 된다는 건 어쩌면 완벽해지는 것이 아니라 너와 함께 조금씩 자라가는 일인지도 모르겠다. 아직 나는 서툴고 부족한 아빠지만, 네가 살아갈 세상에서 언제든 기댈 수 있는 사람이 되어주고 싶다. 200일 동안 네가 자라는 동안 아빠도 조금씩 자랐다. by @gran.nino
