${SCARS} - This project is more than a collection: it’s the physical form of a collective memory. Inspired by the L’Aquila earthquake. “SCARS” translates collapse directly into design. To capture the reality of a crumbling city, we pushed textile manipulation to the limit, suffocating the garments under thick layers of cracked paint. It’s not just aesthetics. Every crack is a fault line. Every tear reflects the giving way of plaster and the suffocating weight of the rubble. The heavy, claustrophobic silhouettes don’t simply dress the body, they bury it. It’s an extreme take on distressed aesthetics, where destruction becomes the very structure of the garment. You can’t erase a tragedy like this.
