One of my proudest moments in the 1.5 years I’ve been slanging junk (it’s a term of endearment in the industry) at Grand Leaners. I sold this camera awhile back to a woman who was off to Portugal in 36 hours and wanted her first film camera. We talked at length and she walked out with this 1960’s 127 film camera. Almost a toy, it has no adjustment possibilities, was bound to give character to images and was simple to operate. Film for it is scarce but available. I talked her through it and omg did she KILL IT. I love these images as does she. Vintage film photography frees the shooter to shoot less, embrace chance and happenstance, accidents and allows them to be in the moment. I’m so happy I could share this practice with her and others. It’s such an easy way to make art and cool shit, images that are unique and that one can be proud of. For sale: one amazing leather, custom made, early hiphop jacket. In the tradition of 1980’s makers using famous brands and making it their own. Many rappers, boxers, celebrities in music and culture rocked these. Or wanted to.

Dapper Dan just confirmed it’s his work.

Piece needs some light repair. I didn’t want to do it because of its provenance.
