Adventurous eater. Numbers nerd. Wearer of inappropriate clothes for today’s weather. More punk rock than you. I was interesting in my past life.

Dead Kennedys// Flipper// The Last Responders October 7, 2026. The view from the stage speaker is both very close and very limiting! 🖤 as much as I love The Last Responders (the genuine reason why I attended!), Flipper absolutely stole the gd show by bringing in a saxophonist…who performed while the singer went through the pit (with mic), climbed up onto the balcony, came back down, went through the pit and climbed back on stage for the finale…without missing a lyric. Now THATS showmanship. by @granger_ous

Failure // October 4, 2026 I was behind two exuberant youths that were out of their MIND excited to see this show, which was endearing. And to the right of me was a 98 pound woman that managed to scream over the music and called her gentleman friend a “FUCKING F****T!” or someone else a “TRASHY W***E!!” for the duration of the night. I’m still unsure if she was off her meds or on someone else’s. by @granger_ous

Yesterday I was able to clean up Pearl (Truitt) Fourmentin. After the initial wetting of the stone, I felt something else under the dirt and uncovered the stone for her entire family.

Pearl was born in Kansas in 1888. Daughter of union soldier Paul Truitt (1841-1938) and Mary E. (Bauer) Truitt (1851-1940). Sister of Laura, Frank, Charles, Paul, Harry, Albert, Viola, Kathleen, Agnes, Louise and Joe (!).

Pearls father is buried beside her. There were more family members in this line, but I wasn’t able to clean their stones (and didn’t realize it was the family buried together until I was researching the next day). I regret not photographing them, but *hindsight.* by @granger_ous

Typo in the September Vogue. “Reaching Crescendo,” wherein you think at first “is that REAEhing? No. That much be Reaching. Wait, if that’s Reaching then why do they have a very clear lower case c in the following word?” by @granger_ous
