Leg 4 of @grantbraddock94 ‘s Bob Graham Round.

We meet Grant man at Wasdale after he has ran through the night and most of the morning in horrendous conditions, already ~70km and ~5000m elevation in. Coming up is the second to last leg of the Round. He would end up running from here for another 7 and a half hours, through ~40km and ~3000m, to the finish.

It was crazy to see how much grit and stubborn determination it takes to make a successful round happen. Somehow he was never without a smile on his face and never stopped talking shite. What an absolute DOG.

He finished in 21h 16min, including an absolutely ridiculous blast through the final 10km that the Leg 5 pacers will never forget.

So proud of you mate 🤘📻⬆️ by @grantbraddock94

The Bob Graham Round 🔥
18.09.26
21hr 16min

Genuinely don’t know where to start.

Wasn’t something I realised I had such an obsessive passion for until I told a small group of people in Square Orange I was going to do it.

Loved every second of the training for it. Put some pile of hours in and enjoyed every single one.

Weather was shite on the day and it made fuckall difference. Probably added to it. Loved it man.
I can’t begin to describe the amount of enjoyment I got from flogging myself up and down the fells all night and day in the chase of being able to say I had done the BGR.
Like to think I smiled as much of it as I could.

For the people who helped me achieve this, there are no words. You all know exactly who you are.
I couldn’t have done this without you.
You have all inspired me.
And I know that doing this, i know I’ve inspired some of you too. I think that’s all this was, to prove a point that with a group of mates like the one I have, we can inspire each other to achieve fuckin anything.

No such fuckin thing as can’t.

Some where in the middle of this round I thought It was close to unachievable, but it wasn’t. Just needed to turn the radio up.

Hopefully this might help inspire someone else to do sumat they don’t think they’re capable of. You are.

I haven’t found out what I’m capable of, only what I was capable of this weekend.

I love for this shit.
