When the bride gives you lemons and a destination-inspired mood board...you find ways to make Austin feel a little like Tuscany.For this celebration at Commodore Perry Estate, the goal wasn’t to recreate another place. It was to borrow the details that make it memorable. Citrus-laden greenery, espalier-inspired floral structures, fragrant blooms, striped lounge seating, and tables of lemons layered throughout the property created a sense of place that guests could feel without ever boarding a plane.A feeling of Tuscany. Photography teaches me that attention is a form of love. You can't photograph what you haven't truly looked at. Most of the work happens before the shutter.. in the noticing. I used to think the goal was to control the image. The more I shoot, the more I realize the goal is to be quiet, present, and to notice more so that the moment offers itself instead of being taken. 📸: @codykurtzphoto by @grantdaniels
