Took the Hareraiser out for a ride around town today. I made a few mods, (with more to come.) 23/12 gearing, thanks to the @odysseybmx Burlington sprocket I got years ago at one of the @fullfactory warehouse sales. A @ninerbikes carbon seat post, (sadly not the old plush RDO version.) Color matched pedals. Oh, and a bell.

Urban 26" cruiser wasn't @fairdalebikes intention for this bike, (the Taj is probably more appropriate,) but I like using it this way. #mtbmx #everypedal taken in Grants Pass, Oregon by @grassblade23

I haven't bought a CD on release in almost 20 years, and I haven't bought a cassette on release anytime this century. Went to @programme today and got the new @turnstileluvconnection album. It's a good feeling. Rocking tunes in the Chev, old school style. #compactdisc #cassettetape #dmvmusic by @grassblade23

I got to ride more of Oregon in the past few weeks, but Shoalwater Bay at Spence Mountain stuck out enough that I went back to Klamath Falls on my way home to ride it again.

Frustrations aside, (Biting bugs at the trailhead, a zillion cobwebs, my misunderstanding of the trail signs,) this is a fun trail network, and I love the Sedona-esque truffledust that it leaves on my tires.

Thanks to @zachsbikes for the trail info. #mtb #klamathfalls #oregonmtb #spencemountain #hardtailmtb #surlykaratemonkey #truffledust by @grassblade23

Today I rode another great #gravel event put on by @redlands_strada_rossa. It was the 10th event, and the 4th for me. 3rd bike I've tried, and still somehow managed to bring the wrong one 😂

I took a big detour and missed a SAG, so I rolled through the Yucaipa Farmer's Market, where @twotreesbakes came in clutch with some delicious pancakes.

Ended up blasting down Highway 38 in the rain, grinning like a fiend. And of course, I had to get my picture with the Mentone Beach water buffalo by @grassblade23

Yesterday, after 40 years of thinking about it, I raced my first #bmx race. Unfortunately, it was the very last night that @whittiernarrowsbmx was open. I missed La Mirada and Coal Canyon as a kid, and I've never forgiven myself for not going to Orange Y before it closed. So I made sure to get out to Whittier Narrows. With help from @ethancorriere and @maxvutang at @_epicbmx, I took an old @sandmbicycles L.A.F. (that I bought from @_killintaco years ago,) and a collection of spare parts to put this bike together. It was fun, I crashed, I left with some good memories and a trophy. #beforeitsgone #rule26 #usabmx taken in Whittier Narrows Bmx by @grassblade23

Today I tried #dualslalom for the first time ever at @raceoc
What an absolute blast. Track was better than I ever thought it would be. Can't wait for the next round. #mtb #26aintdead by @grassblade23

Went fishing today to try out my new Whopper Plopper. Didn't catch any fish, but I did bring in this abandoned lure. 🤣 It's another Whopper Plopper! #fishing #lure #finderskeepers by @grassblade23

Getting a bit better at tying a #turksheadknot on a #marlinspike from @firstclassamateur. It helps to have a second marlinspike, lol. #knotical #paracord by @grassblade23

Made my third and most successful attempt at @redlands_strada_rossa yesterday. Took a few cutouts, but no mechanicals this time. Beautiful day, great people, awesome SAG, plenty of humbling miles and fun descents. #redlandsstradarossa #mtb #gravel #rule26 #freshdirt by @grassblade23
