Ciao Italia 🇮🇹🍝🍕 Traded tacos for pasta and palm trees for cypress trees, just for a little while! Photos from Ischia, a beautiful island that we visited a few years ago and spent so much time soaking in volcanic thermal springs that I forgot about photos... San Blas, Panama 🇵🇦 and a few other highlights from the last 4.5 months in Latin America ♥️

Sometimes I wonder if I’ve been a latina in a previous life because I feel so at home here?! The colours, the music, the people, the energy... Life just feels more alive ✨

Palm tree beaches, ancient mysteries, lush jungle adventures and colourful colonial towns where people dance on the streets... loved every country. Until next time ♥️

San Blas, Panama 🇵🇦 ja muita kohokohtia 4,5 kuukauden ajalta lattareissa ♥️

Jos edelliset elämät on totta, oon varmaan ollut latina, kun viihdyn täällä niin hyvin. Värit, ihmiset, musiikki, energia... ✨ Elämä vaan tuntuu täällä eläväisemmältä.

Palmurantoja, muinaisia mysteerejä, vehreitä viidakkoseikkailuja ja värikkäitä siirtomaa-ajan katuja, missä ihmiset tanssii kaduilla. Ihastuin jokaiseen maahan omalla tavallaan. ♥️

Kolumbian Tayronan kansallispuisto, mikä seikkailu 🤩🌴🏔️🌊 Ei todellakaan se helpoin rantakohde. Sinnikäs samoilu läpi sademetsän hikoillen ja mölyapinoiden möykkää kuunnellen palkittiin palmuilla ja turkoosilla merellä 😍

Tipsejä:
🥥 Yöpymällä kansallispuiston sisällä pidemmän patikan voi jakaa osiin. Majoitus on pääasiassa tosi vaatimatonta, riippumattoja ja perusbungaloweja.

🥥 Tayronan suosituin ranta Cabo San Juan on kaunis eikä vaadi “kuin” pari tuntia tasaisella polulla suuntaansa, mutta porukkaa riittää ja polulla kuljettiin kuin muurahaiset 🌴

🥥 Me yövyttiin Playa Bravan rannalla. 3h vaellus jyrkällä, huonokuntoisella mutta lähes autiolla viidakkopolulla. Alkumatkan voi halutessaan mennä kuumottavassa mototaxikyydissä. Ei siis sovi kaikille, mutta toisaalta autio Playa Bravan ranta kaukana kaikesta jäi Tayronan reissun kohokohdaksi 🫶🏼

🥥 Playa Piscina oli ihana pulahduspaikka matkan varrella 🌊🌴

🇬🇧 Colombia’s Tayrona National Park was an adventure 🌴🏔️🌊🐒 Not exactly your easiest beach destination. But a sweaty trek through the rainforest listening to the roar of howler monkeys and you are rewarded with palm trees and a turquoise sea 😍

TIPS:
🥥 Staying overnight inside the park helps break up the longer hikes. Accommodation is mostly basic - hammocks and simple bungalows.

🥥 The most popular beach in Tayrona, Cabo San Juan, is beautiful and “only” about 2h each way on a flat trail — but it gets super crowded.

🥥 We stayed at Playa Brava. It’s a 3h hike along a steep and rough, but mostly deserted trail. You can choose to do the first stretch by a nerve-wracking mototaxi ride. So definitely not for everyone, but spending a night far from everything on the remote Playa Brava beach ended up being the highlight of our Tayrona trip 🫶🏼

🥥 Playa Piscina was a perfect spot for a dip along the way 🌊🌴

Dreamy days in Bayahibe and Isla Saona 🌴 Sailing in a catamaran from one palm-lined beach to another, riding a pink mini scooter through the palm groves of Isla Saona, plus enjoying some much needed slow resort mornings in Bayahibe 🩷🌴

Easter Island, or Rapa Nui, must be one of the most enchanting places I’ve ever got to visit ✨🗿

Looking down from the plane window at this tiny speck of land in the middle of the Pacific, I kept thinking: how on earth did the first inhabitants ever find this place?!

Rapa Nui carries an endlessly fascinating, and at times tragic, history. A history full of mysteries that definitely made my imagination wander. ✨🗿

I thought Easter Island was a place that you go once to tick it off the bucket list. However.. Maybe it’s the vastness of the surrounding Pacific, the ancient Moai standing watch over the island, or the feeling that this place still holds uncovered secrets... ✨🗿 Or maybe it´s just me, but I felt the island has a special magnetic energy or presence, that´s hard to explain and I feel the pull back to go explore more. 🤩✨🗿

Pääsiäissaari, Rapa Nui polynesialaiselta nimeltään, on heittämällä yksi lumoavimmista paikoista, missä oon ikinä päässyt käymään. 🗿✨ Kun tuijotin koneen ikkunasta lähes muurahaisenkakan kokoista plänttiä keskellä suurta valtamerta, en voinut olla miettimättä, miten ihmeessä ensimmäiset asukkaat koskaan tänne löysivät?

Pääsiäissaarella on loputtoman kiehtova ja myös melko traaginen historia. Historia täynnä mysteerejä, jotka saa tällaisen muinaisten arvoitusten ystävän mielikuvituksen laukkaamaan villisti.

Oletin, että Pääsiäissaari on paikka, jossa käydään kerran, ja sitten se on ruksittu pois sankolistalta. Mutta... Ehkä se on ympärillä avautuva loputon Tyynimeri. Tai muinaiset moait, jotka seisovat kuin saaren hiljaisina vartijoina. Tai se tunne, että tämä saari kätkee vielä paljon salaisuuksia. Tai ehkä se oon vaan minä 🤷🏽‍♀️ Mutta täällä tuntui olevan jokin erityinen maaginen energia, jota on vaikea selittää, joka vetää puoleensa sukeltamaan takaisin syvemmälle saaren mysteereihin 🤩🗿✨
