It’s World Cup season… for guitar speakers?! 😲

Yes, we know the football (that’s soccer, for our North American friends!) starts this week, but not everyone is into that ⚽

So, for you guys, we present to you: @the.other.john.browne’s Celestion Vintage 30 Battle Royale Series! Which is just as crazy and fun as it sounds. John is pitting 32 different V30 speakers against one another over the summer – and you, the listeners, get to vote on the winner of each match every week!

You’ll hear a few clips of each speaker (and you won’t know which is which, so you’ll be trusting your ears only) and vote for your favourite. The winner of each match progresses through the quarter finals, the semi finals, and then to the final itself, with only one V30 being crowned the ultimate winner 🥳

And what’s this got to do with us, you might ask? Well, John needed a solution to clamp his mics in EXACTLY the same position over each speaker for every match, in the name of fairness of course. Step forward the Gravity Cab Clamp, which does exactly that, taking all the guesswork out of miccing a cab! (Oh, and a shoutout to our buddies at @palmer_germany too – John is using their excellent River Series trave reamp box to replay all the riffs for the matches!)

We love it when a plan comes together 😎

Our good friend @paulbradshawguitar was recently putting together his new studio space… but something was missing. One corner of the new room was empty, and a bit lacking in inspiration – so enter the Gravity Glow Stand 🔥

And… one Neckhug Glow Stand model and Paul’s Ibanez RGD later, and the room is complete! A healthy dose of ambience via the LED lighting, and Paul’s main guitar now has pride of place AND is safe and sound whenever he’s not at work laying down guitar tracks in the studio.
