Dear Customers,

I am writing to share the bittersweet news that our head mechanic, Cole Johnson, will be moving on to pursue a new career path after 12 years with The Garage / Great Divide Cyclery.

Cole has been an integral part of our team, contributing as one of the best mechanics in the industry and helping to shape our unique culture. While we will greatly miss his expertise, we are excited for his next chapter and wish him the very best.

Please join us for a farewell gathering to celebrate his departure. We will share the specific details regarding the time and location once they are finalized. taken in The Garage by @gravityguildgarage

In solidarity, we’re hosting a ride with @gravityguildgarage in honor of Alex tomorrow. Meeting at 1pm MST and rolling out at 1:30 MST. Chill downtown, kid friendly ride for all! ❤️

From @angrycatfish :
Alex was one of us, could’ve been any of us, so as we mourn, all of us can come together in unity to remember Alex for what he was. A kind and caring soul put on this earth to be the light for others. Although his light has been extinguished by this fascist regime, it hasn’t been lost. If anything, those sparks fell and ignited something in us that’s been hiding all along. We are stronger together, and they can’t take us all. We’ve gathered together a community of cyclists to remember Alex Pretti. Please join in, near or far this Saturday, 1/31 1:00 PM Central Time
-
We’re asking folks to host rides and come together. Bike shops and non-profits, cycling orgs and alt cycling collectives, city and rural. We are many but we stand together as one.
If you’d like to join in and gather folks together, please print the flyer and tag us on social media so we can share where your ride will take place. Files attached are courtesy of Casey Robertson of Robertson Design aka @champagne_rodman
Minneapolis joins together Angry Catfish Bicycle, Bonesaw Cycling Collective, GenoSack, Melanin In Motion, The Price Brothers, Unsanctioned Ride group and others. We hope folks from all over join together in unity as well! taken in Montago Coffee Co. by @gravityguildgarage
