27... I can't believe I'm 27. 🥴💕

My birthday celebrations actually started on Saturday! I told Kade the only thing I really wanted to do was go to Salt Lake and eat at Charlie Chow's. A couple of days before my birthday, I also told him I didn't want to plan anything I wanted him to take over. 😂 Well, he definitely delivered! We drove up there, and he surprised me with Lexi! It was so nice getting to spend time with them and just hang out. 💕 Later that night, our sweet friends Danny and Amy stopped by the house, and I got to see them for a little bit too.
Then on my actual birthday, Kade had the entire day planned. He took me to grab coffee first, then told me to get ready. We got in the car, and I had absolutely no idea where we were going! He surprised me with a trip to the aquarium, and it was so much fun just walking around together and seeing all the animals. Then he told me we had to leave because our next adventure was about to start... a TWO-HOUR massage! 😭 He definitely spoiled me. To end the day, I got to spend time with my favorite people. My mom and Kayla made all of my favorite foods, I got to celebrate with my best friend Sharri and sweet baby Jordan, and we finished the night with a hookah session that was a fun surprise. 🤣 If there's one thing I've learned, it's that spending time with the people I love is what makes me the happiest.
I honestly wasn't looking forward to turning 27. If you know me, you know getting older has always been a sensitive subject for me, and birthdays haven't exactly been my favorite these last few years. 🤣 But this birthday reminded me how incredibly lucky I am to have such amazing people in my life who go out of their way to make me feel so loved and celebrated.
Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday, sent a message, called, or spent time with me. My heart is so full. Here's to 27. 💕 by @grayceedelaplaine

I never got around to posting for Mother’s Day or my mom’s birthday on Tuesday because the last few days have just been spent soaking up time with family, and honestly those are some of my favorite moments in life. 💕
Happy birthday to the best mom in the world. I truly don’t know what I would do without you. You are one of the strongest, most loving, selfless people I know, and I feel so lucky every single day to call you my mom. No matter what life throws at us, you always show up for everyone around you with so much love and strength. I hope you know how appreciated you are, not just today but every single day. My sister-in-law "Kale" put together the sweetest birthday video for my mom with so many people sending birthday messages, and it honestly had me crying watching it. Seeing how many people love my mom and how many lives she has touched was so emotional and special. She truly has the biggest heart and deserves all the love in the world. Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to be part of it and make her feel special. It meant more than you know. 💕 Mom, thank you for always being my safe place, my biggest supporter, and one of my best friends. Thank you for loving us through every season of life, the good and the hard. You inspire me every day with your strength and the way you keep going no matter what. Happy birthday, Mom! 11 years together. 5 years married. 💕 Kade, I seriously can’t believe how lucky I am to do life with you. Through all the chaos, adventures, laughs, and hard moments… I’d choose you every single time.
For our anniversary, I surprised him with a quick Vegas trip and kept it a complete secret 🤣 I told him we were just doing something with family Saturday and dinner Monday for our anniversary. Meanwhile I had our bags packed and everything ready to go 😂
We flew to Vegas, ate at the BEST Irish pub, explored, almost got tattoos (maybe the ATM not working was a sign 🤣), and finally got to eat at Din Tai Fung which Kade has always wanted to try. The chocolate dumplings were his favorite 😂💕 We spent the rest of the night hanging out together, walking around casinos until like 3 in the morning, and honestly just enjoying each other’s company. Those are my favorite moments with you.
Then came our flight home… and let’s just say things took a TURN 🤦‍♀️🤣 Our flight kept getting delayed because of weather, then we sat on the tarmac forever while they debated canceling the flight. We finally took off, but the turbulence was genuinely one of the scariest things I’ve ever experienced. There was one moment during takeoff where I swear I thought the plane was falling out of the sky. People were literally screaming. I was crying 😂😭 and Kade had to calm me down and remind me the pilots knew what they were doing/ trained for this. Then when we finally got close to Provo, we circled the airport forever before they announced they couldn’t land there and had to reroute us to SLC 💀 We landed around midnight… but THEN we sat on the plane for another 2+ hours because they couldn’t find parking for us 🤦‍♀️ Eventually they brought buses onto the tarmac to get us off the plane, dropped us off at a random crew building, and we had to wait forever for an Uber home 😂 What was supposed to be a quick 50 minute flight turned into an all-night disaster adventure… and poor Kade had work 4 hours later 😭🤣 Honestly though… I wouldn’t trade this life with you for anything. Yesterday Kade planned a date for us and it was seriously the best time 🥹 We started off with our very first couples massage! I’ve had massages before, but it was Kade’s first and he rated it a 9/10… which means more massages for me in the future 🤣 He would of rated it a 10 if it was longer 🤣 Then we went to dinner at our favorite rotating sushi spot, Tsubame! Kade used to not be a sushi guy, but lately he’s been branching out and actually starting to love it, which makes me so happy 🥰 We ended the night watching the new Super Mario Galaxy movie and WOW… 10/10. I honestly think it was even better than the first definitely go see it!! Thank you for the sweetest date, baby. I love this life with you 💕 by @grayceedelaplaine
