No need for more 2024.

The year has dragged longer than any other year.
And still I made it through.
I did it.
When I thought it honestly would end me.
I did it.
With help from friends & family.
And without some friends.

-Lost a job to start off but kept my friends.
-Was unemployed and living in NYC, two things that don’t work.
-Moved in with my bestie and her family. Something I’ll never be able to thank them enough for.
-Took on a temp job in the World Trade to round out my 10 years in NYC. Met wonderful people.
-My ex work wives met. That was important.
-One ex work wife was engaged and just married!
-Summer came, and we moved back to Tennessee.
-First day home, I cried, defeated, felt wronged, and abandoned.
-Started my job at the theater I grew up admiring. Working with people that inspire me.
-Made time for family and friends, new babies, and reconnecting for a bestie’s wedding.
-Now realizing, slowly but surely, that I am worth something.

Fuck it, I’ll say it. I am a light. And to those who TRIED to dim me, I hope you know, you lost. You lost me, I did not lose you. Remember that. taken in Memphis, Tennessee by @grayham91
