With a new year comes a new shift in focus. Going forward, we’ll be putting more energy into what’s been growing in the background: The GRDN sound system.

To help us take things up a level, we’re extremely excited to welcome @j.nanda__ to the team as our new sound and lighting guru. He’s worked across some of Edinburgh’s best underground clubs, as well as legendary festivals like @kelburnparties . He's a safe pair of hands and brings some big energy.

This year expect more collaborations, odd spaces and proper parties. We’ve already got some exciting link-ups and we’re buzzing to take the rig further.

Friday, June 12th, PLC

With most of GRDN currently tied up in other projects, club nights and in some cases, entirely new countries, it feels like the right time to wrap up our residency at @peoples.leisure.club

This isn’t the end of GRDN, just a new phase and a new direction.

For one last PLC dance, our residents @millihunter.noodle , @bartek_lech and @releaf____ will be taking care of business all night long. Expect deep cuts, dancefloor heaters and plenty of the usual nonsense.

Come down and help us send off this chapter properly.

Much love,
GRDN team 🔊🌿

P.s these are some of my personal highlights from the years together

P.p.s extra shout out to @neurogloop for starting this journey with me all those years ago 🙏 by @grdnedin

🌟 here we have it, our selectaz for this week’s party 🌟

AJG - stellar house and disco producer from Edinburgh, now living in Glasgow. Started making tunes a few years ago, experimenting with beats and gradually shaping a sound that leans heavily into collage and unusual sampling. His biggest inspirations come from 70s disco and the 2000s French touch scene, with a soft spot for anything with a phaser and a solid bassline.

LOTSY - a South East London–born DJ now based in Edinburgh, bringing pure feel-good energy to every set. She serves up disco, house and groove-heavy selections packed with fun basslines, vocal hooks, and a few timeless classics for good measure. Expect big smiles, nonstop movement, and tunes made for dancing the night away!

And continuing the recent trend, completing the lineup is our resident disc jockey Bartek!

⚠️‼️Earl birds are now sold out ‼️⚠️ worry not as our general tickets are still v cheap and v affordable! As always however, if for any reason you can’t afford it but would like to come for a dance, send us a DM and we’ll put you on a guesty. No explanation needed ❤️❤️

🪩🪩💃🕺✨✨💗💗🌹🌹💘💘

We sat down for a booth session with the beautiful @buckfastbarbie to talk about how she stays warm in winter - good music , good people and importantly, good tonic wine.

Come see her set this Friday night at the @peoples.leisure.club with @chrisastrojazz and @bartek_lech for winter warmup , a night by @grdnedin that will warm you up from the inside out and help you dance the cold away 🕺🪩

Full interview including bonus Buckfast trivia round will be posted next week. Stay cozy x

Meet our DJs for the next week’s shenanigans!

@chrisastrojazz - Ultimately Astrojazz is all about supporting good music. From jazz, afrobeat and global grooves, through funk, soul, hip-hop and dub to the myriad cutting-edges of modern electronica and dance.
He has played hundreds of shows over the years, from sweaty basements clubs to large festival stages, including art cars at Burning Man and Gugulethu Township in Cape Town. We’re extremely excited to finally welcome Chris to the family! You’re in for a treat, trust!

@buckfastbarbie - Buckfast Barbie is ready to put the party into the speed drive! Between working Sneaks, being a head honcho of their successful @import.wav night or playing @faerie_circle_ , this cowgate gremlin has firmly established herself as a one to watch! Consistently providing great club vibes with her eclectic music taste, expect a lot of energy with loads of percussive chuggers and maybe a cheeky bass face here and there heheh. Get ready to party with Barbie!

@bartek_lech - completing the lineup is our resident Bartek. You’ve seen him lots at our parties so we’ll save you the big read. Expect party starters, house/disco/UKG and everything in between. Where Bartek plays, party follows so be sure to be there from the start as he sets the tone for the night!

Tickets available on RA, grab em while they’re hot!
P.S. we still have some free tix available via our WhatsApp group so be sure to check that out 🤫 taken in People's Leisure Club by @grdnedin
